Hydrate Fido With WaterDog

If your pet frolics in the backyard during Summer months, providing water is absolutely necessary! Hot dogs may not pant when they are thirsty, but still need refreshment when the play gets vigorous and their body temps rise. Instead of just adding a bowl (which can become stagnant and harbor diseases like Giardia), the WaterDog ($79) offers the cold beverage on tap whenever he's ready to sip. Using ultrasonic sensing technology to tell when your animal approaches, it immediately turns on a gentle flow of fresh, cool liquid when he's ready. Pup can drink as long as he wants as the flowing fountain will continue until he moves away – that's one tall glass of water!

This would be great for Sonny because he's always trying to drink from the tap when I'm letting my shower heat up! But, this could pose a problem for those dogs that might be afraid of the stream and are used to lapping at a dish.

Glad it has the sensor- I was worried from the picture that it was gonna run all day long wasting water- seems like a great product for an outdoor dog
