Male Dogs vs. Female Dogs

Are You Gender Biased?

I'm very attached to my lil prince, North, and my childhood pup Joey was also a male! Beyond just assuming an animal is a male or female, if there's no visible evidence, were you picky about picking a particular gender for your pets?

My first dog was a female, and the rest of the dogs that I've had (two) have been males.

The only dog's I've had have been male and neither humped anything. The first dog my family had was a girl and she was pretty skittish but really sweet.

Yes, we're biased towards females. I've only ever owned one male dog!

I voted for preferring girl animals, but really I prefer girl dogs. Out of the six dogs my family has ever had, only one was a boy and that was our first one. Since then, they have all been girls. Not to be graphic, but I just don't like how boy dogs hump things a lot. I know girl dogs will do it, too, but it seems to be more rare. As for cats, I like both boys and girls. Our cat now is a boy, and I've generally found male cats to be friendlier and snugglier. However, I love both.

No, I have had both boy and girl dogs and have never noticed a difference between them (well, except the obvious), but @ the moment all of the dogs are girls.

Yep! I liked boy dogs and girl cats for some odd reason! It's just the way I am! My first dog was a boy, and I know my mom did research that at the time the boy golden was the best fit for our fam, so it just stuck in my brain! I will probably never have a girl dog! (Well never say never, I like dogs too much, and if I ever have a huge house/yard I would love a ton of dogs, so some girls would be nice!)
