Off Without a Hitch?

North concluded his stay at Wag Hotel yesterday and, lucky for both of us, there were no problems! If you traveled (or stayed home), were there any unfortunate incidents involving your pets or did your holiday go off without a hitch? From pooches eating things they shouldn't to travel plans gone awry, share horror (and glory) stories in your comments.

With all our company we had 5 dogs in the house for a week. Only one caused problems, but you can't blame her, she's only 8 months old and big and clumsy. The 3 little ones basically hid on my parents bed all week and the other big dog got into alittle fight with the puppy (who already weighs 45 lbs) and nipped her when she just wouldnt stop jumping on her. But other than that...it wasnt so bad. I am relieved Christmas is over though and our 2 dachshunds are VERY happy things are back to normal.

My dog stayed with my in-laws while my husband & I visited my parents. We returned to find the poor hound wearing a diaper! Apparently he wouldn't stop whizzing all over my in-laws' house. The diaper was pretty hysterical.

I took my poopies with me...they love being able to visit their cousins (my brother has 2 yorkies & I have 2 chihuahuas.) I did catch a few accidents but cleaned them up before my brother noticed...with 2 male dogs it is what we call "the pee wars."

The X-mas tree got knocked over once. That's not too bad considering my dogs are into everything always.

I got my puppy on 12/15 so my Christmas (and the week before) consisted of potty training! I didn't get to go to my parents' (allergic) but it was worth it to get my baby!

Clyde - my little mama's boy kitty - is finally talking to me and showing me affection again. It's only taken 2 days...sigh...

My sister insisted on bringing her dog from San Francisco to Chicago to stay with us.... well, she is a well behaved cutie but she peed everywhere - and did #2 on my bedroom rug!! I didn't tell my husband. But to top it off my cat ginger felt his territory being invaded and basically peed on top of all the dog pee.... ugh!!! it was horrible!!!

We had a great holiday! My moms dog and mine kept trying to give my 1 year old niece kisses but that was the worst thing. She did Not like that after a while, but B-Bop couldn't stop himself she had good stuff smeared on her face haha.

My rottie mix is only about 16 months old, so this was the first Christmas where she was old enough to be curious ... she obviously didn't like the way I had decorated the tree, since she kept taking the ornaments off and hiding them around the house ...

I can leave my cats for a day or two with a self-feeder and waterer and they will be fine. But Thurston - the mama's boy - clings to me like crazy after I get back, even if I'm away for less than 48 hours. When I got home, he climbed into bed with me and was kneading, head-butting, and purring away. Then he put his chin on my cheek and gave a big sigh and purred. I just started laughing like crazy when he did that!

My pookies were with me the whole time, so it was just another lovely day. :)

My next door neighbors lost track of their guard dog during a party and it got into another neighbor's yard and attacked a dog. Someone came to get me to help the dog being attacked since I am friendly with both pooches. That was not cool. I am pretty pissed at the negligent neighbors that didn't keep an eye on their animal.

Sassafras was mad at me for leaving him, but he seems to be over it now. Of course, now I'm going out of town for New Year's and I'll face his wrath again on Tuesday.
