Pampered Pals: Pet Food Tins

Buy in bulk and save your pet's food! These stylish, metal storage containers are a big improvement from stashing the pet food bag... not only for looks but also for keeping the yums safe from pets' inquiring noses. The tin cans come in two colors and two sizes – to store 10 pounds and 20 pounds of dry food respectively. It looks much better to have an inscribed can announce your cat or dog food, rather than a tattered sack... plus portioning is easy with an included scoop. I picked up the small, silver tin for North at Bow Wow Meow over the weekend for $39.99.

Those are so cute! Just a reminder that I learned from a local pet store. If you choose to store your dogs food in a plastic container, keep the food in the original bag and then put it in the container. If you add it directly into the container, eventually the plastic will take on a stale taste of the food and then tranfer that stale taste onto your new food. Your pet will probably turn it's nose up to it!

So cool! Right now I have a Eukanuba tin that I got free with 20 lbs of cat food a long time ago, but it's getting pretty beat up now and this would be perfect to replace it!

I'm glad that I read the comments. I'll start freezing my cat's cat food from now on. : )

These are pretty, right now we keep our dog's food in a metal trash can. These are so much better!

and you can store extra food in the freezer to keep it fresh - my little chihuahua takes almost a year to go through a bag of her food!
