Whether you currently share a home with a dog, have a furry pal as a BFF, or simply hold on to the memories from your youth — I'd love to hear why you're happy to share the world with pups!

Remember there's still ways to give back to pups in need and plenty of cute pets in need of a home. Woof!

This couldn't have come at a more perfect time....We've got two dogs, Auggie (3) and Sammy (2 1/2) AND a nearly 3 mo old.....now I always told myself that I would be one of the doggie parents that neglects the dogs once the baby comes along, and sadly I think I've become that. That's not to say I'm nearly as bad as some, but I def. haven't consistently taken the to agility class nor have a taken the time to play as much fetch or go for as many walks as we used to. We still get out 4 times a week with me and never miss a walk with my hubby, but maybe its time to step it up a notch....They deserve my attention just as much as my baby does!!! heck they care for her more than I ever thought they would!!! They are her guard dogs!! Thanks petsugar!

My two dogs are my fuzzy children. I even refer to them as your son/your daughter when talking with my husband about them. They make me so happy in so many ways - they comfort me when I'm sick, they're always happy and eager to see me, they seem to know when their presence is needed to lift my mood. They keep me active by needing to be walked and played with and I love that I can be as silly as I want with them and the sillier I am, the happier they seem to be. I love that my one dog is a therapy dog and I can share her with people who need something to pick up their spirits and that she brings joy wherever she goes. My other dog, while not being friendly to strangers, is extremely loyal, protective and affectionate with those he knows. I wish every day was "take your dog to work" day because I would just be that much happier with them by my side all the time.
