Who's Image Conscious?

Some pets are interested in their images in mirrors, windows, or water, while others could care less. From kitties that bat at the mirror (or try to walk around it to get to the other side) to others that won't give it a second glance, how many of you have pets that react to their reflection?

My dog hates his reflection. It's actually a point of contention. He thinks that he sees another dog and goes nuts. Barking. He won't stop. It's very annoying

My kitties only seem interested for a little while when I hang a new mirror. The one will sit on the bathroom counter and watch herself. Animals are so funny.

Every morning my dog has to check out the puppy in the mirror (and will occasionally try to give it a bone).

My big kitty LOVES and I can't stress LOVES enough, to sit infront of the mirror. But I am almost certain she is not looking at herself but at the "other" room. She sits in front of the mirror for hours sometimes. She looks at me through it when we can see each other then she turns back and really looks at me and then back at me in the mirror. The little kitty kinda looks at herself but no real interest. I recently got a 8x10 mirror and plan to move it around behind the cages of my various reptiles to see what they have to say about it. I am pretty sure that they will all ignore it seeing as a lot of reptile cages are made with mirror backs to make them look more spacious.

Ursula is definitely vain and jealous of the cat in the mirror -the cat in the mirror is far more sexy and aloof. So she meows at her and scratches at her and purrs at her and sometimes tries to attack her. Chloe doesn't give a f*ck. She's action cat! Cannot be bothered.

ugh.. rocket barks and fights with his reflection. other times he'll just walk by the mirror with a real pompous attitude....i think he likes to show off.

When I first got my dog he discovered himself in a full length mirror. He kept walking around and looking to see if this image was doing the same. He then would beat on the mirror with his paws. He didnt seem to get the reflection was him he thought there was another dog. Now we keep him away from mirros so he doesnt try to get to the "other dog"

Penny loves the mirror. It was the first thing she did when we brought her home! We don't call her the supermodel for nothing!

Basil checks himself out in the mirror, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't realize he's looking at himself - he thinks there's another dog in there!

My dog NEVER looks at himself in the bathroom mirror when I hold him up. He even goes as far as looking away. But, when I'm getting ready in the morning I catch him checking himself out in my full length mirror. Weird!

My cats couldn't care less about reflections. I think they're too smart for that!

Every cat that I've ever had will occasionally look at himself in the mirror and sort of give that funny look, but that's about it. No vanity!

Sometimes mine will look. But she figured out she can watch us from the bedroom and will watch us and try and play with us! It's so cute :)
