Laguna Beach and The Hills: Where Are They Now?

It's been nearly 16 years years since MTV's Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County debuted on Sept. 28, 2004, introducing us to the world of Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, and the rest of their impossibly good-looking crew of high school pals. However, not everything was perfect on the show. Kristin revealed in an interview that she felt "manipulated" during filming and accused producers of making Stephen take LC out on dates for the sake of drama.

Sure, most people know what LC is up to, but what ever happened to Trey Phillips? Or Jen Bunney?! Keep reading to find out where the Laguna Beach and Hills stars, including Justin Bobby, are today!

Lauren Conrad

Despite quitting The Hills ahead of its final season, Lauren Conrad has proven that reality stars can sometimes have serious lasting power if they know how to manage their careers correctly. Lauren has written a successful series of YA novels, and has established herself as a style and beauty guru. She also oversees her popular Kohl's line, LC by Lauren Conrad, and in August 2016, she appeared in the 10-year anniversary special of The Hills.

In the relationship department, Lauren got serious with actor Kyle Howard from 2008 through 2011 before hitting it off with former Something Corporate guitarist William Tell, who graduated from law school in May 2014. In September 2014, the duo tied the knot in a Pinterest-perfect wedding. Lauren and William welcomed their first son, Liam James Tell, in July 2017 and their second son, Charlie Wolf Tell, in October 2019.

Kristin Cavallari

Despite burying the hatchet many years ago, LC revealed that she is not on speaking terms with her former rival, Kristin Cavallari. After The Hills, Kristin landed bit roles in movies and TV shows, and even competed on the Fall 2011 season of Dancing With the Stars. She also teamed up with Chinese Laundry and created a shoe collection, as well as her very own lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, and her True Roots cookbook.

Kristin started to date Jay Cutler in 2010, and after an on-again, off-again romance, the two got married in June 2013. Their first son, Camden, was born in August 2012; their second, Jaxon, was born in May 2014; and their daughter, Saylor James, was born in November 2015. In April 2020, the couple announced they were divorcing after 10 years of marriage.

Jason Wahler

Jason Wahler's sometimes feisty relationships landed him major roles in the second season of Laguna Beach and the first season of The Hills. Since his appearance on the show, Jason has struggled with alcoholism and has been involved in six different alcohol-related arrests since 2006.

However, in 2010, Jason got sober during a stint on Celebrity Rehab and has since cleaned up his act. He got engaged to model Ashley Slack in November 2012 and the couple married in a ceremony in Malibu in October 2013. Laguna Beach's Cedric Channels attended Jason's nuptials. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Delilah Ray, in August 2017.

Justin Bobby

Justin "Bobby" Brescia and his gorgeous head of hair hooked up with both Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari on The Hills throughout the run of the show. Now, he runs a hair-care business with salons in Manhattan Beach, CA; NYC; and Nicaragua, as well as a hair-care line called Brush Your Hair. And then there's his music career — Justin is in a band called BobbyrocK.

Dieter Schmitz

Dieter Schmitz is best known on Laguna Beach for being Stephen Colletti and Lauren Conrad's best friend and dating Jessica Smith before she moved on to Jason Wahler. After the show, Dieter got into hospitality and hotel management and worked as the hotel manager at the Lakehouse Hotel and Resort in San Diego. He has since relocated to Washington DC. According to Dieter's LinkedIn profile, he's the general manager at Lore Group.

In August 2016, Dieter tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Isabell Hiebl, in Monterey, CA. Trey Phillips, Loren Polster, Stephen Colletti, and Lauren Conrad were all in attendance. In September 2018, they welcomed a son named Nico Josef Schmitz.

Stephen Colletti

Of all the Laguna Beach kids, Stephen Colletti was the only one who created a successful acting career. Following his time on the hit show, Stephen worked as a VJ for MTV and, in 2007, landed a recurring role on The CW's One Tree Hill. In 2011, he started dating actress Chelsea Kane, who even appeared in the final season of One Tree Hill back in 2012. Stephen's mostly been laying low since then, but he's remained super hot. In December 2014, he had an epic Laguna Beach reunion at a wedding he and LC attended, and in August 2016, he served as one of Dieter Schmitz's groomsmen at his wedding.

Trey Phillips

Trey Phillips showed off his budding fashion talent during the first season of Laguna Beach, and it looks like his hard work has finally paid off. After the show, Trey moved to NYC to study design at Parsons. He still lives in the Big Apple and works as an associate designer for Vera Wang.

Jen Bunney

Jen Bunney followed Lauren Conrad from Laguna Beach to The Hills, but she will forever be immortalized for "the shady thing" she did with LC's then-crush, Brody Jenner, during her birthday party on the second season of The Hills. For those in need of a refresher, Jen kissed Brody at the behest of pot-stirrers Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, and Lauren cut her out of her life after she found out. However, Brody recently claimed the show was "fake reality" and he "didn't have sex with Jen Bunney." He added, "I didn't hook up with any of these girls." Jennifer addressed his comments on Instagram in July 2015: "Cool #toolittletoolate," she wrote.

Jennifer married Taylor Dunphy in August 2014. (Spencer and Heidi were guests.) She earned her master's degrees in public health and business fields from University of California, Berkeley, and currently works in the healthcare field.

Lo Bosworth

Lo Bosworth made appearances on both Laguna Beach and The Hills, but she shifted her focus away from TV once The Hills went off the air in 2010. She recently moved back to LA from NYC, where she runs her lifestyle blog, thelodown.com. Like LC, Lo has become increasingly more dedicated to lifestyle in recent years. She launched her own startup, Revelry House, which delivered stylish party kits to your doorstep (it closed in 2014); released her first book, The Lo Down, in 2010; graduated from culinary school in 2014; started her own YouTube channel full of cooking, beauty, and life tips; and founded a company called Love Wellness. As for her personal life, Lo spent a lot of time with businessman Jeremy Globerson, who made plenty of appearances on her Instagram before they seemingly went separate ways.

Loren Polster

You may remember Loren Polster (or, simply, "Polster") as the mop-haired "party enthusiast" friend of Trey's who was at all of the Laguna Beach big events but curiously never officially considered part of the cast. Now, Polster works as a designer after studying graphic design at the prestigious California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. (He initially majored in philosophy but switched to design after two years.)

After Laguna Beach, Talan Torriero remained in gossip headlines for his relationships with Kimberly Stewart (aka Rod Stewart's daughter) and Nicole Scherzinger. He settled down in June 2014, tying the knot with Danielle Zuroski. Talan and Danielle welcomed their first child, a boy named Bronson Leonardo, in October 2017.

Following her appearance on Laguna Beach, Jessica Evans (née Smith) dropped out of the limelight and did not pursue a career in film or television. By the looks of her adorable Instagram pictures, she is now a mom to four children.

Christina Schuller

Christina Sinclair (née Schuller) was vocal about pursuing an acting career during her time on Laguna Beach, but she has switched her focus to healthy living. Following the show, Christina got married and now works as a certified fitness instructor in Laguna Beach. She also ran a website, Beach Babe Fitness, where she gave exercise and diet tips. In May 2014, Christina gave birth to her first child, son Christian Sutton, and in January 2017, she welcomed her second child, daughter Cienna Estelle.

Spencer Pratt

Spencer Pratt

Spencer Pratt is infamous for being one of reality TV's most loathed villains, but the connection he made with his The Hills costar Heidi Montag turned out to be very real. The two tied the knot in Mexico in 2008 and again on the show in 2009. Since then, the pair have gone through a series of highs and lows. Later that year, Heidi and Spencer had a brief appearance on the American version of I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here, and Spencer was arrested in Costa Rica for attempting to board an airplane with "hunting weapons." He was later freed from prison but was barred from reentering the Central American country.

In 2010, Heidi nearly divorced Spencer, and the reality star was forced to file for bankruptcy. In 2011, Spencer reenrolled at USC to finish his degree and moved in with Heidi's mother in Santa Barbara, CA. The two admitted that they have struggled with money issues due to their outlandish spending habits. Spencer is still making a name for himself on reality TV, having appeared on the 11th season of Celebrity Big Brother UK in January 2013 alongside his wife. The couple finished in second place behind actor Rylan Clark. In July 2015, the duo were spotted filming scenes for Made in Chelsea spinoff, and in 2016, Heidi appeared on Lifetime's The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition. Heidi and Spencer welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Gunner Stone, in October 2017.

Frankie Delgado

Frankie Delgado was a permanent fixture on The Hills thanks to his close friendship with Spencer Pratt and Brody Jenner. While he briefly dated Hilary Duff in 2007 during the shows' run, he has now settled down with Jennifer Acosta, whom he married in Dana Point, CA, in June 2013. The romantic event was attended by Lauren Conrad and Brody Jenner, as well as Kim Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush. When Lauren tied the knot in 2014, Frankie was one of her costars on the guest list. In March 2015, he reunited with his Hills pals Brody Jenner, Spencer Pratt, Taylor Mosher, and Doug Reinhardt in LA. Frankie and Jennifer are parents to son Francis and daughter Isabella.

Audrina Patridge

Audrina Patridge has stuck to reality television ever since leaving The Hills. In 2010, she appeared on Dancing With the Stars and premiered her own show, Audrina, on VH1 in 2011. Audrina hosted 1st Look, a travel series on LXTV in 2014, and she launched her own swimwear line called Prey Swim in 2017.

Since the end of The Hills, Audrina has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Corey Bohan, but they made it official when the BMX rider proposed, and in late June 2016, the two welcomed a baby girl named Kirra Max Bohan. They wed in a romantic Hawaiian wedding in November 2016, but less than a year later, Audrina filed for divorce, as well as a temporary restraining order.

Whitney Port

Whitney Port

After The Hills, Whitney Port moved to NYC, where she starred in her very own MTV spinoff, The City, which lasted for two seasons. Now, she is mostly focused on her fashion career and her line, Whitney Eve. Whitney has remained in the public eye with minor appearances in TV and movies, including a cameo in What to Expect When You're Expecting and a guest judge spot on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model. In 2011, she released her own advice book, True Whit: Designing a Life of Style, Beauty, and Fun.

In November 2013, Whitney got engaged to Tim Rosenman, an X Factor producer she met while he was working as an associate producer on The City, and they tied the knot two years later in November 2015. Whitney gave birth to a baby boy named Sonny in July 2017.

Brody Jenner

Brody Jenner became a household name when he dated both Kristin Cavallari and Lauren Conrad on The Hills. After the show, Brody paired up with Avril Lavigne, and the two dated for nearly two years before splitting in 2012. Brody returned to the world of reality TV on Keeping Up With the Kardashians following a series of guest appearances.

He landed a show of his own, Sex With Brody, in 2015. While promoting the premiere, Brody got candid about being Caitlyn Jenner's son.

As for his love life, Brody got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kaitlynn Carter, in 2016. They tied the knot in Bali in 2018, but eventually separated the following year.

Stephanie Pratt

As Spencer Pratt's sister, Stephanie Pratt often got into arguments with her brother and his wife, Heidi Montag, on The Hills. After the show, Stephanie admitted that she no longer spoke to the couple, but it looks like they've patched things up since then.

Stephanie has gone on to star in Made in Chelsea, a UK reality show.

Heidi Montag

On The Hills, Heidi Montag went from being Lauren Conrad's bubbly best friend to one half of one of the most hated couples on reality television. In 2010, Heidi attempted to launch a music career and released her debut album, Superficial, on iTunes. Later that year, she nearly divorced Spencer Pratt, but the pair reconciled before the split was finalized. The couple admitted that they were having money issues, and in 2011, they both moved in with Heidi's mom in Santa Barbara, CA.

With the exception of a small role in 2011's Just Go With It, Heidi has mostly stuck to reality TV since the end of The Hills, with guest appearances on VH1's Famous Food, Celebrity Big Brother UK, and I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here. On an episode of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, Heidi called out Lauren for "ruining her life."

She and Spencer were spotted filming scenes for a Made in Chelsea spinoff in July 2015, and a year later, she appeared on Lifetime's The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition with her mom. Heidi and Spencer welcomed a baby boy named Gunner Stone in October 2017.

Morgan Olson

Morgan Smith (née Olson) stood out as the cheerful brunette in the first season of Laguna Beach who was focused on finding the right Mormon man. Well, her dream came true, as Morgan got hitched to Joel Smith in 2010 after graduating from BYU in 2008 with a degree in humanities and journalism. She later founded the swimwear brand Minnow Swim and is a mother to son Theo and daughter Georgia. She welcomed her third child, a baby boy, in January 2020.

Elodie Otto

Elodie Otto was one of Heidi Montag's coworkers on The Hills and was often pulled in to listen to Heidi's problems with Spencer Pratt and Lauren Conrad. Since then, Elodie attempted to launch her own line of bath and beauty products, but the plans fizzled. Now, she has moved to Phoenix, AZ, where she works as a Director Of Operations at CWW connectworldwide.
