The Latest With Justin Bieber's Legal Troubles

It's been a wild few weeks for Justin Bieber. Things took a turn last Thursday when he was arrested for drag racing and suspicion of DUI. Justin was taken into custody and charged with DUI, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired license and was let out on $2,500 bail. The scandal set the Internet ablaze with memes, tweets, and reactions to the news — we even got nostalgic for the old Justin. The buzz didn't quiet down when Justin was arrested for a second time when he turned himself in to faces assault charges in Toronto on Wednesday.   • Justin was arrested around 4 a.m., and the Internet went wild when his mug shot was released. Justin had a court hearing, where he was charged and then let out on bail.
  • After Justin left jail on top of an SUV, his dad, Jeremy, (wearing a gray sweatsuit in the photo above) met with lawyers outside Miami's Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
  • Later, Justin reportedly refused to board a private jet to fly back to LA, where his management team was waiting. They are apparently urging him to get help by going to rehab or psychotherapy.
  • Instead, he stayed in Miami, where reportedly he kept the party going. (See below.)

  • Justin broke his social media silence when he posted a photo of himself side by side with a photo of Michael Jackson on Instagram with the caption "What more can they say?"
  • Soon after posting the picture on Instagram, Justin tweeted, "YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS >> BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL> MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE> I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL."
  • Justin later took to Instagram to share a selfie, writing in the caption, "Thank u lord."

  • Later that night, Justin greeted awaiting fans and media outside the Miami Beach compound where he had been staying since his release from jail. The singer's security detail escorted him to a nearby vehicle. Justin reportedly traveled to a local airport, where a private jet was waiting for him.

  • Justin wrapped up his Panama trip and headed to Toronto, where he turned himself in for criminal assault charges that stemmed from a December incident involving a limo driver. Justin was mobbed by fans when he left the police station after being released on his own recognizance.
  • Meanwhile, Justin's lawyer in Miami filed a not guilty plea in response to his charges from Jan. 23.

Jan. 30

  • While Justin pleaded not guilty, the toxicology report that was released by the Miami Police Department shows that he had weed and prescription pills (specifically, Xanax) in his system when he was arrested. Justin had admitted to smoking pot before he went behind the wheel.
