Kim Kardashian Parties With . . . President Obama?

Kim Kardashian joined President Barack Obama, Rita Wilson, Liam Neeson, and Bruce Springsteen on Wednesday night in LA for Steven Spielberg's annual gala for his USC Shoah Foundation. President Obama was given the big honor of the night, the ambassador for humanity award, while Bruce performed for the crowd. Kim and Barack did not interact at the event, and it's probably best that they didn't since Barack has publicly joked about the Kardashian family in the past. Less than one year ago, Barack said he was disappointed that young kids look at the things that Kim has as a mark of success, which Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, took issue with on her shortlived talk show, Kris.

Kim's gala stop came right after she posted a blog on her personal website about racism and her fears that her daughter, North West, will face discrimination when she grows up. "To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought," Kim said. "It is obviously a topic that Kanye [West] is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else's battle. But recently, I've read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realize that racism and discrimination are still alive and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been."
