I was at the Sundance Film Festival back in January, and after a few days of screenings, there was one film that had everyone buzzing: Fruitvale. The movie stars Michael B. Jordan in the real-life story of a man who was fatally shot by a police officer in Oakland on New Year's Eve, stirring up much controversy about police brutality. Once I heard the glowing reviews, I did everything I could to see the film, but alas, I didn't succeed. Now the movie's called Fruitvale Station, and I definitely won't be missing it again once it's released on July 12.
