Savvy Confessions: Sick of Getting Hit On at Work

This anonymous posting comes from our Savvy Confessions group. Weigh in with your thoughts and suggestions below.

Okay I need to rant. I work in a male dominated industry, and since networking is part of my job, you can't imagine how much I get hit on and it sucks. A lot of times when I strike up a professional relationship with a guy, nine times out of 10 he's interested in something nonprofessional. You might think this is whiny, but I'm just sick and tired of it! Just got an inappropriate email from a married guy who I previously worked on a project with, that's why I had to vent.

This qualifies as sexual harassment. If I were in your situation, I'd at least mention something to your head of HR.
