It seems like women can be romantic yet practical at the same time. Most women say that they will pick love over money, according to a survey by ForbesWoman and YourTango.com, but on one condition — the man has to be employed. Results of the poll found that three out of four women say they will only marry a man who has a job, while 91 percent of the women claim they would "marry for love over money."
Meghan Casserly of ForbesWoman says, "It is ironic that women place more weight on love than money, yet won't marry if they or their potential suitor is unemployed."
Looks like women aren't going to fall head over heels in love with just anyone, so love doesn't have the power to overcome the unemployment obstacle. The female respondents might also be taking into consideration that since money is the biggest contention between couples, it might be better for the relationship if both partners are bringing home the bacon. However, I have a feeling that you'll find less men caring about their potential wife's employment, so why are ladies so insistent upon their man's career? Why do you think women want to marry employed men?
