Do You Love or Hate Your Job?

Is going to work something you look forward to or is it something you love to hate? Turns out, 80 percent of people feel dissatisfaction with their jobs, a Deloitte survey said. This reminds me of the saying that goes along the lines of, "Do what you love and you'll never have to work a day." (Which I might add, was nicely disputed in a Forbes blog posting). I personally count myself among the lucky minority and look forward to going to work every day! What about you — do you love or hate your job?

I love it for the most part, but I'm underpaid, which makes it hard to REALLY love it that much.

I love my job! It's not what I want to do for the rest of my life but it's great while I'm in school. The people I work with are great and three of them are related to me.

I love the people, I like the work.

I used to hate it but now I'm feeling neutral about it. Mainly because we've hired some more people and I'm not nearly as stressed out as before. However I still hate the commute with a passion so it doesn't get much past neutral.

I mostly love it, but there are definitely times when it is less than fun! I work in a child care and no matter how fun it can be, sometimes diapers need to be changed! ;)

Living my dream... enjoying it since it may not last forever these days! On a year and a half and hoping it continues for quite some time...

Right now, hate. It's not a bad job per say, but I've been stuck with it for two and a half years and after really, really trying to be ok with it, I think I'm just reaching the point where I need more challenges and a big changes. People are (generally) nice and I get to see cool things, but it's made me realise that doing brainless admin tasks all day and simply the whole 9-5 thing really doesn't suit me (does it suit anyone?). Which I guess is a good thing, at least I know what I don't want to do, right? And it's also making me think that I'd actually enjoy taking more 'risks' by for instance going freelance to do more creative things, even if that means waitressing on the side to pay for the bills.

I don't like working at all. If we could financially afford it, I would be home with my daughter rather than at work. Since I have to work, my job is OK. I don't like every aspect of it, but there are certainly parts of it that I enjoy.

I would say "like it a lot, most of the time." My dad always told me to keep in mind that there's a reason they pay you to go to work and it's not always going to be fun.
