Pets 6 years It mostly sits in the garage but I love knowing it's there nonetheless! poissondujour 6 years Carshare! CoralAmber 6 years I've been saving up for one for over a year, since my last one died. I've been borrowing my mom's to get to work. homekeeper 6 years Yes I OWN my car, no payments! :) aimeeb 6 years I own, I could never live without a car-I hate public transportation. Spectra 6 years I own my car outright..it's a 2002 Saturn SL and we also have an old 94 Chevy S10 pickup. Our little city has crappy public transportation and I have to commute to the next city on a small country road, so having a car is pretty much a necessity. Still, I refuse to make car payments...we drive our vehicles until they die. My car has 156,000 miles on it and my husband's truck has 260,000 miles on it. As long as you maintain your vehicle and perform regular maintenance on it, there's no reason you can't drive a car for at least 15 years (well, unless it's a lemon and has all sorts of problems or if the engine blows or something). Dhorwich 6 years It felt so good to write that final check for my car a couple years ago. I've got a 2002 Mazda Protege which has served me really well. I take good care of her so she'll last as long as possible. I live in LA so it isn't optional to have a car but I take public transportation to work so I deal with traffic as little as possible and my car will last much longer! luna08 6 years I've owned mine for a couple of years. I hate cars though, I'm a terrible driver! :) Beauty 6 years Nope! Gave mine to my mom, and so glad to not have to deal with the hassles of ownership. I use a car-sharing service if I really need wheels. Renees3 6 years I've only got like 2 more payments on my car and it's all mine! YEA! I'm so excited about that. Once that's gone, my debt will just be pretty much gone. Oh well except for our mortgage. Anyway, I've never lived anywhere that you could get away with not having a car. bluebellknoll 6 years I own a car and a truck. I have my summer car (Miata) and my winter truck. This year I'm planning on selling both and buying something new. starangel82 6 years Own and paid for. Actually it's been paid off for about 4 years now. Yay me. I'm gonna drive it until the wheels fall off. sorrowja 6 years After we bought the house I sold my car (which I had monthly payments on) and now my hubby and I share his car which has no payments. I don't need a car because I work in NYC and I'll take the train over driving any day. Also my train ride is only like 26 mins. FashionWithoutGuilt 6 years I own my car. It is a Honda Accord 94 and it is beat up but I own it. I want to live like no one else now, So that I can live like no one else later. Thats a Dave Ramsey quote. bengalspice 6 years I drive my parents' old van when I'm in the 'burbs. Living in the city does not warrant a car.
