I've made some great friends from previous jobs. But as I get older I like to keep things a little more private. My hubby hangs out with his co-workers which is fine by me because I enjoy their company. heatherhas 6 years Nah. I prefer to keep a professional distance. I don't need anyone at work knowing what goes on in my personal life! Not that its that exciting *eyesroll* Spectra 6 years I don't, but a lot of my coworkers go to the same church, so they hang out together. To me, that'd be a bit awkward, but some people like that sort of thing. My husband hangs out with his coworkers all the time though...they have company happy hours and keg parties and barbecues all the time. CaterpillarGirl 6 years I keep work and personal life seperate. It only leads to drama if you dont Modus-Vivendi 6 years Not really. I like to keep some professional distance. luna08 6 years A couple of people who are really close friends. I turn down invitations and keep my life private from the rest of my coworkers. Even being at the christmas party and company picnic with them is a trial. ilanac13 6 years i really don't.. i'm one of those people that really tries to keep my 'lives' separate. i don't know - it's interesting sometimes. at my last job, we always used to hang out and well, it kind of got ugly because one of my co-workers was considered my other half, and i couldn't get a promotion (at least my boss said) because then the other girl would feel entitled to as well. i didn't get that but now i've learned to keep things very compartmentalized. c4rolin3 6 years i was going to also say that some of my best friends have come from working together in bars when we turned 18..... :) i miss those days! c4rolin3 6 years i used to when i worked with people my own age.... now i work in a small office and i'm at least 20 years younger than the rest of the staff! bigestivediscuit 6 years Yes, one of the girls in my department has become a good friend of mine so we sometimes do dinner/shopping after work or something on the weekends. We also make it a point to go out to dinner with two girls from another department once a month. It's so much fun! Triste3030 6 years Hell no! Mellietronx 6 years I am married to my co-worker. Does that count? leslievanhouten 6 years most of my friends are from work; I work with super awesome people Gdeeaz 6 years yup i do, me and a few of the girls from work go out to dinner every two weeks.
