I still do - but we've never really been into expensive gifts... I love homemade gifts!

Yes, gifts for my close friends - even if they're little ones. And definitely a gift if I've been invited to a party/dinner/etc. A card always for acquaintances.

I'll give my friends maybe something like lotion from Bath and Body works but also make them a mix-cd.

It depends...within my family, we always exchange gifts but with my friends, I usually get them a card and maybe a small gift, like a lip gloss or something.

last year we would pool together like $10 a piece and get a gift for each bday girl, but since some girls didnt get a gift for whatever reason, so we forgoed the whole thing this year, opting for treating the girl out to dinner instead

I do. At least, for the close ones - just like I always did. Besides, we have this tradition that we only give each other "small" things, kitschy ones you can find on the flea market.

if there is an event, i will get a token gift but nothing extravagant just something to say i am thinking of you and happy birthday...like i make sure its something a little bit personal or at least a little kitschy for my family and boyfriend, though, they get lavish presents

to be honest, i really haven't gotten presents for folks lately. last christmas really put a damper on things too - it's hard times but hopefully things will turn around. i did however just get my nephew a b-day present!
