I used to be good, but at 30, I'm getting super nervous about the GMAT!

I'm horrible on just about any kind of test no matter how much or long I study for it.

I always did pretty good until I took the SAT. I thought I would get at least a 1300 but I ended up with a 1050. It didn't matter though because the school I wanted to get into only looked at ACT scores. I just took the SAT to see what I'd get. I'm terrible at math, btw.

I do average on standardized tests. I have a sibling who is a natural at it. She finished early, and fell asleep at her desk (the girl put her head down, and napped). When she got her scores, they were nearly perfect (she only missed two questions). Her response: "What?? I was only unsure about ONE question!" Whatever. :)

Yes, I'm a good test-taker too. A lot of times I did better than colleagues of mine that were better prepared, so I agree that it evaluates more how a person takes a test than how much they know about the subject.

I always did really really well on them; especially the verbal parts. I took the ACT and got a 34 and I always did pretty decent on all those standardized tests they gave you in school. I'm just a really good test-taker, I suppose.

I took the SATs once, didn't bother studying or anything. Got 1150, that was enough to get into the one school I applied to, lol. I did better on the GREs, which I did study for, and then ended up NOT going to grad school which I think was the best decision I ever made in my life considering the economy right now, but I'm getting off topic I see the reasoning behind standardized tests, but I think they're a huge waste of time and money. All is tests is how well you take a test .

i'm definitely much better at other types of tests than standardized ones. i hated taking the SATs and when we had to take finals in college - those were the worst too. i get that it's easier for the teacher to mark them and whatever but they just SUCK!

I used to do really well on standardized tests. It's been quite a while since I've taken one however, so who knows how I'd do now.
