Ms--Anonymous 6 years You tell me: My friend and I call it retail therapy lol we love it!! Sadly, in this economy those therapy sessions won't be happening so often. 356UIK 6 years Very rarely, but when I do it, it really does make me feel wonderful fancifulfabi 6 years Buying new clothes makes me float with giddiness, I just come home and lay out all my finds and spend some time pairing them with things in my wardrobe - it's so uplifting! It's probably not the best habit, but it's very effective. Now that I think of it, yesterday I was going through something very stressful and I happened to be at Wal-Mart so I bought a bag of black licorice (which reminds me of my childhood) and instantly I felt my tension ease up a bit. Strange, no? bengalspice 6 years I like getting myself something special ... like a new hat for winter, or a new dress to wear for work. That always makes me feel better because then I have something to look forward to wearing that is just for me. ilanac13 6 years sometimes not even shopping can help my mood - typically i'll just choose to work out and pray that it helps me since spending money just makes me more miserable. Frenched 6 years Yes, it most definitely does! But I try to limit it to something simple, like a cup of STARBUCKS coffee. I try not to go too overboard because then I'll end up feeling bad that I spent too much money! Chica8a 6 years :shopping: I agree LoveSarah ! I try to not sweat the small stuff and keep a positive attitude no matter what happens. heartbreakerx62x 6 years Oh ya, it totally feels great! psterling 6 years It only feels good if you have the money to spend. Otherwise I feel twice as bad. My go-to remedy is a hot bath and a cuddle on the couch with my husband and a glass of wine. dcfashionista 6 years It does make me feel better but I just buy lower cost items. Like a fashion mag or a cup of coffee. Shopaholichunny 6 years Yes usually! ;) Shopaholichunny 6 years Yes usually! ;) supercoolnat 6 years It's hit or miss with me. I have to be careful, because there are times when I go shopping to make me feel better, and then it backfires because I'm having a "fat" day, or nothing fits me right. LoveSarah 6 years It makes me feel better at first, and then I feel worse because I spend money I don't really have. It's like this evil cycle. zcoral 6 years I just did this last night, and I know it sounds awful, but I feel a lot better! I'm wearing new jeans and a new belt, and when I get home I have lots of new kitchen stuff to play with! sonya-ina 6 years I try to stay away from shopping if I'm in a bad mood, unless I know exactly what I want. If I just go to the mall and look for items, and find nothing that either fits, or I like, I end up in an even worse mood.
