Favorite Workday of the Week

Oh, Happy Day!

Researchers recently analyzed tweets to gauge when we're feeling our best and worst — and found Twitter users are happiest on Sunday and gloomiest on Thursday. I didn't think it was fair to compare the carefree weekend to the workweek, so I asked readers which day of the grind makes you most glad. To find out the chosen day, keep reading.

It's no shocker that Savvy readers picked Friday as their favorite workday. It's the day we get to jet out of the office and into blissful me-time, after all. Here's a rundown of our Savvy study:

  • 65 percent of Savvy readers said Friday is their happiest day.
  • 18 percent said they love Thursday. Or, as hex913 noted: "I'm happiest on Thursday because there's the anticipation of Friday. Once Friday's here, it's all down hill to Monday again."
  • 8 percent picked Humpday as their most fun workday.
  • Sad news for Tuesday and Monday — apparently both days produce buckets of work and stress.

So, celebrate good times today, enjoy your co-workers, and TGIF!

I would have thought Saturday as the happiest day. Sunday day is good, but then once evening rolls around you start thinking about Monday. Saturday all around is good. Its the one day you can sleep in and stay up late and not worry about an early next day.
