Forbes Names 10 Worst Cities For Jobs

We're used to hearing about unemployment statistics on a national scale, but jobs are also relative to local economies. When Forbes came up with its list of the best places for business and careers, it couldn't help but realize the worst cities, too. After all, some places had to fall to the bottom of the list. You might think twice before attempting to set up shop (or cube) in one of the worst big cities for jobs.

  1. Detroit-Livonia-Dearborn, MI
  2. Providence-Fall River-Warwick, RI
  3. Cleveland-Elyria-Mentor, OH
  4. Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA
  5. Oakland-Fremont-Hayward, CA
  6. West Palm Beach-Boca Raton-Boynton Beach, FL
  7. Sacramento-Arden Arcase-Roseville, CA
  8. Warren-Troy-Farmington Hills, MI
  9. Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL
