If you're flying Southwest this Thursday, you can start celebrating turkey day with a free alcoholic drink, according to the company's Twitter account. The budget airline might be trying to up American Airlines' cool-kid statusAmerican recently introduced a happy hour special on flights that run throughout December.

When I flew Lufthanse, I got free beer. I told DH about this deal since he's flying to Yuma on Monday.

I think some international flights already give all you can drink free alcohol. When I flew to the Netherlands (KLM) and when I flew back from France (Air France), they let me have all the free wine I wanted. I don't think free alcohol was offered from Taiwan though (China Airlines.) I wonder how it would work on international flights with different drinking age limits in various countries...
