How Many Days Did You Take Off in 2009?

No matter how much we love our jobs, when we think about the Best of 2009, those days in the office can't hold a candle to days spent relaxing on the beach, couch, or anywhere in between. Vacation time is precious because we're only granted so many days, although many of us never use up our allotted paid time off for one reason or another. How many days were you chilling away from your professional home-away-from-home?

i got married this year so i took time off for my wedding and i'm on maternity now. i've actually learned that you're given vacation days for a reason and if you don't take them, then you lose them, and you shouldn't set yourself up at work to be available 24/7. it's healthy and good to take days off.

More than 20, mostly because I got married this year and went on a late honeymoon. Some of the time had to be unpaid since I didn't have enough vacation hours accrued by that point...

I took a month off around my wedding & honeymoon- it was awesome. Although I wish I still had a few paid days left to take off around Christmas! Oh well ;)

Luckily my company is forgiving with sick days--I've missed over 20 days thanks to a chronic hangover :P

I, too, take all of my PTO. This year it was 24 days. By the end of the year, I will have used them all (and then some).

I take all of my vacation and floating holidays, this year it's 22 days off total. I don't think I took any sick days, from what I can remember, but I have taken some personal time for doctors appointments.

Where's the 0-5 option? I missed 2 days--one for a snow emergency and one because I had to leave town for a wedding.

I voted for 5-10 but I actually only took 3 days off this year. I am a teacher so my days off are nicely built in.
