  • 34 percent like their job enough that they'd date it seriously.
  • 43 percent said it's just OK and they'd date it casually.
  • 9 percent said they don't like the job and it "won't last long."
  • 5 percent said they hate their jobs and "want to break up immediately."

I'm in an abusive relationship with my job.

I work from home so I love my job. I don't always love the hassle and the co-workers but I can't complain. Well, yes I can haha! My gripe is that I often feel left out and forgotten due to not being in the office. I'm easily over looked. But I love working from home and can't imagine going back to regular work!

There was a time when I was in love with my job, but as the years passed and my passions have changed I'm not so in love anymore. I am in the process of finding a new love, but realized that I may have to create my own love affair.

i wish i had a job to even consider dating or dumping. but i'm definitely looking for one that would be serious enough for a few years.

I don't think I would marry any job, ever. I am passionate about my work, but a job could never be first in my life.

It's ok. Some days I love it ... some days I hate it. All in all, it makes me feel very satisfied and that I'm doing something worthwhile. The stress and all have about done me in and I'm ready to move on, though.

For being a college student who makes $9/hour and doesn't have to work past 5 pm or on weekends, and I can get 30 hours in a week, I love it, but I wouldn't marry it!

I sell advertising so I hate making cold calls and being told no. That is the bad side of my job. But......I make good money and get to do what I want during the day with a flexible schedule so I guess my job is pretty sweet!!!

Am an event organiser/project administrator/PA/admin assistant/general office schlob. My boss is super nice, my coworkers are reasonably nice, the job itself is not that bad but I hate it with a passion. I guess the fact they talk to me as if I were 5, treat me as their personal PA ("you know what you could do for me, is look up this place on googlemap. Now, have you used googlemap before? Wait I'll show you, first you type in g-o-o-g-l...Oh, and can you also send an email to that person for me, cause I'm sort of busy right now..") doesn't help. More recently, the office manager told me to work on finance - her handling finance is the reason why she gets paid more than me. I'm gonna have to find a way to tell her she can go to finance hell, don't know how to say that and remain polite though.. :(

I would marry my job too! It's not perfect, like most relationships, I have to work hard on somethings and I don't like everyone I work with, but I love the work I do and for whom I do it!

I love my job so much/marry it. :) CEO's assistant; boss & I a great match. Work my arse off but am appreciated + have fun doing it, and I still have energy left to sing weekly gigs. Went through a few jobs I hated but worked hard to change that situation & am really happy now! :) God bless America!

I'm an office manager/admin assistant/accounts payable/accounts receivable/fundraiser/tech support type person in a very very small nonprofit organization. It's definitely not a career-type job, but for now it's great. My boss is super nice and very flexible about scheduling, so I have enough time and freedom to pursue the things that really matter to me long-term, and my time at the office is a nice mix of interesting things to do and plenty of free time to, uh, play around on Sugar. Before that, though, I was a retail store manager. If I compared that job to a boyfriend, it would be the boyfriend whom I not only dumped, but then slashed his tires, set his house on fire, and told all his friends he'd slept with their girlfriends and/or sisters.

Yeah, I'm an assistant at a law firm and I want more glory!

Like ehadams, my current job, which is working as a litigation assistant for a large law firm, reiterates the fact that I want to go to Law School. I definitely enjoy the lifestyle of the firm culture, but want to be able to synthesize information and make decisions rather than just be doing administrative tedious work.

My current job inspired me to go to law school... so I plan to "dump it" as soon as I get in! I might come back to this firm as a lawyer though. ;)
