How Would You Rate Morale at Your Workplace?

It's tough for employees to keep their chins up and maintain rah rah attitudes when their colleagues are receiving pink slips and their companies keep making budget cuts. Sustained economic related stress at work has pushed job satisfaction increasingly lower, and according to a new survey from Workforce Institute at Kronos, morale is suffering at a large percentage of companies that have gone through layoffs. How would you rate morale at your workplace?

Morale is pretty good in our lab, but we are wondering how we are going to handle our extra workload this winter with the predicted H1N1 craziness. They don't want to hire more people, but it isn't fair to swamp everyone who's there either.

It's so low that it is in negative numbers - and in my case it has NOTHING to do with the recession.. :(

I'm consulting at a company that is laying off people a few at a time so no one knows when their turn will come. Wish they would do it all at once so people could move on.

So poor! The recession is just bringing out the problems that have been festering for a while. Nothing like hard times to show people's true colours! ;) I'm actually job hunting because I don't want to spend 40 hrs a week in a hostile environment.
