Last night actors, directors, producers, writers, and movie makers crowded into the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles to honor a select tier of their peers with what many consider the highest award in film: the Oscar.
I was touched by best actress winner Sandra Bullock's acceptance speech because she paid tribute to her mother's support and constant reminder to practice her craft. A craft Sandra has turned into a more than 20-year career. I can only imagine how rewarding it must feel to be recognized for your work and an amazing performance after so many years. Have you ever been acknowledged for your effort and skill with a company or industry award?
