I'm actually looking into starting a Virtual/Personal Assistant business now, but would really love to get into organization development consulting. Basically helping companies identify areas that need improvement and coming up with an objective, mutually beneficial way to improve production, morale, turnover rates, etc.

Hm...I would want either a bakery or a newspaper/magazine. I would like to co-run a bakery with a friend of mine and since I want to go into journalism, it would be nice to one day be able to publish my own newspaper.

Restaurant, Jude? I wonder why. ;) Mine would be a quaint cafe that sells coffee, sandwiches, and pastries. Fill it with some really comfy, kickback chairs that the customers would feel relaxed when they stop by. Sell some local art and music, coffee mugs, beans and tea leaves(fair-trade). I'm thinking about doing this for real in the future. Probably not by myself though, I'd have a partner in it, or two. My mum always wanted to have her own bakery, maybe we could work something out there. Also, a chic little vintage and knickknacks shop. I love the idea of starting a program that teaches children how to read. This is really important to me, I want children(mostly the less fortunate) to experience the joys of reading and using their imagination. Also, discover their artistic abilities: drawing, graphic design, painting, sculpture, music. This wouldn't be a business, more like an independent organization, not one that parents would have to pay for though. It would be more like a non-profit(I hate that word). I have tons of others ideas...:)

I'm not hugely interested in taking on the hassel of owning a business (I know from my father's experience that it can be a huge source of stress), but if I did then I'd want to be a Stylist a la Rachael Zoe.

I'd love to own, run, and create for a design boutique. It would offer my graphic design services, yet also sell my jewelry/journals and fun gifts. I'd just love to have that store you go to knowing you could get something unique. Also, I have a passion for interior design and I'd love being able to switch up, repaint and redecorate my own store whenever I wanted.

If I owned a business it would probably be a copywriter business where I edit papers for students for a fee depending on the number of pages. But that wouldn't be a real business, so I guess I would open a business where I help truckers complete their tax reports. That's basically what I do now, except I would be working for myself.

It's my dream to own a book shop in my home town. A friend and I actually started making plans to open a book store/coffee shop, but then my fiance (now husband) joined the Marine Corps. So, as long as we're at the mercy of the Corps, my dream will be on hold.

CG, that's a wonderful idea. I was a camp counselor in high school and college at a camp where I grew up, and it's a great place. So many awesome memories! My fiance wants to open his own music store where he can keeping teaching lessons (obviously other people would to), repair and sell instruments, restore vintage guitars (his favorite hobby), and sell music and other equipment.
