I was talking to a friend of mine who recently just purchased a house with his wife. He told me that the deal had initially seemed too good to be true, so they were slightly concerned. They were afraid that somebody died in the house, or the neighbors were really horrific. My friend then found a private investigator online and paid $700 for peace of mind as well as very detailed information about their neighbors. In fact, it was detailed to the point of scary, as some of the information seemed pretty personal. What do you think — is hiring a private investigator to check out a potential house brilliant or baffling?
