Kingston Rossdale Is 4

Kingston's $15K Party, Pricey Perks Part of Being Celeb Kid?

Rumor has it that Kingston Rossdale turned 4 in true Hollywood style! Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are said to have thrown their firstborn a fete more fabulous than many adults have had. The rocking parents supposedly spared no expense, hosting 100 guests for the celebration at their home. The age-appropriate festivities included face painting, pets, a bouncy house, and superheroes. Kid friendly eats from hot dogs and french fries to quesadillas, cotton candy, and lemonade were also served up.

As a result of their talents, Gavin and Gwen both found success and subsequent fame in the music industry. Celebrity kids experience the perks and the downfalls of having parents in the public eye. Is it understandable if mom and dad indulge their tot every so often?

it's still spoiling a 4 year old who won't even remember it when he's an adult

Money is no object for them. 15K for them is like $1000 to a regular family, if you think about family income, so whatever, that's their right.

$15K is a lot to spend on a birthday party for a 4 year-old. Like the kid's even going to remember it when he's older, anyway. Why not just have a small party and give him a huge awesome party when he's old enough to actually appreciate it?

Its her money, she can do what she wants. I don't care. She makes so much that she can afford it.

It's ok to spoil kids on their birthday, but I wouldn't want them to get used to that kind of treatment 24/7. That's when it becomes a problem.

You can't really expect them to throw a party at Chuck E Cheese. Even though the kids would LOVE it! If I had that kind of money I'd probably do the same. $15k is like $100 to them.

Spending $15,000 has nothing to do with the kids. It is about showing off to the adults and maybe even one upping certain guests.

I agree that it's their money and they can spend it as they like. Gwen is one of the most hard working celebs out there (and everything from her fashion line to her band to her solo career rocks). I think they're a great family and they should be allowed be enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Not that it's not a lot of money, it is. But, it seems like Gwen and Gavin are raising a wonderful family (from what we outsiders can tell) if they want to throw their son an outrageous birthday party what better way to spend the money then on their children. Also, I think it's a fair trade off. While it's true that it is probably best that celeb kids should be raised as down to earth as possible, they constantly have papparazzi in their faces due to no fault of their own. They can have a huge party, no? And, while Kingston at four would be happy with those things, the parents of his friends who are also celebs were at the party. A lot of the money probably went into catering etc., which has nothing to do with making a four year old happy.

Hmm, I think it's outragous, too....but if you have that kind of money, and 15k won't be missed...who knows what I'd do. I don't know, it's probably just wht they're used to with their friends. They only problem I have with this is not the money they spent...when I think of my birthdays it was basically a playdate with junk food. I loved it. We did games and the parents really got involved entertaining us. They didn't hire someone to do so! Sometimes the parties bombes, but looking back it's my friends andmy parents effort I remember. Not the clown...

Wow, that's just a smidge overboard.....! When I was little I was happy with pass the parcel and some cake. Or it was really exciting when a classmate has a McDonald's party, the playground was enough fun for all of us!
