A Front Desk Hotel Manager Dished the (Literal) Dirty Details of the Job

Money Magazine Best Places to Live

4th Best Place to Live in the US Is Also Geek Central

Money Magazine just released its list of the 100 best places to live in the US, and although my home base of San Francisco didn't make the cut, one of my other favorite geeky cities did: Bellevue, WA.

Bellevue comes in fourth on the list for a reason: it's just a hop, skip, and jump away from Seattle metro (which has a distinct sci-fi connection) and hosts a ton of tech companies within its borders — Microsoft, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Expedia to name a few — making this city a hotbed for geeky activities. You'd probably run into Bill Gates while cruising the upscale Bellevue Mall (he lives minutes away from downtown) or find a group of programmers chilling in one of the city's many parks. Desk-bound geeks gotta get out of their cubes at some point, right?
