Nontraditional Budget Tips

Savvy Community: Skip Traditional Budgeting

I'm always looking for helpful budget tips, and skigurl recently shared the following savvy suggestion. It's true what they say: the little things add up.

I'm not good at traditional budgeting, so instead I just make sure that I don't overspend on certain things. I have stopped buying my lunch, I try not to go shopping as much, and I don't go to the grocery store on my lunch hour and spend on things we don't need. I make sure to conserve at home whenever possible, buy in bulk, call the cable company when the bill is skewed etc. That way I can save money in certain areas, but don't have to actually budget like a crazy person.
