Go for it. It's not like it's hot pink; I could see people perceiving that as unprofessional. But it's more of a dusty pink - one could even think of it as a light burgundy, perhaps? - and it's much more un-obtrusive. Congratulations and good luck with your new job!

it depends. if your a hard worker, who cares what your phone looks like. its not for your co-workers/clients. its for you. if the people criticize you for your phone- its not your problem

Be yourself and get the phone you want. I've worked in corporate American and seen much worse. Not to mention being in a very upscale meeting with clients and have your BOSS'S ringtone be something really not fit for polite company!

I love pink accessories! I told my hubs the minute they come out with colored iphones I am turning my iphone in for a pink one.

I wouldn't personally carry one, but I don't think it's unprofessional.

I have it in red and love the phone. I don't think the color has anything to do with professionalism. There are a ton of people at my job who bought the iPhone and that's not even considered a smart phone and definitley isn't considered unprofessional here.

I have it in black, and every time I leave it out in the open some guy will inevitably grab it off my desk and start pushing buttons because it looks cool. Get the pink- trust me. It would help keep their grubby hands off your phone!

i think that it's fine for it to be in pink. i think that when it's unprofessional is to put 'bling' all over it - that's a bit over the top. but manufacturers make colors for a reason - be an individual

I agree with most of the other commentors. As long as you retain your professional demeanor and dress, a girly accessory is perfect to keep your feminity and individuality.

I think it's cute.I saw go for it.

I'm a business analyst for a wealthy management firm and I have a pink phone. I normally wear pink sweaters. AND I have a Hello Kitty! calendar (that our copy room people print for me every month) that hangs up on my wall. Hey, I am who I am and you know what, if it brings a smile to my face, then they should be happy too!

I work in a very large company, at a divisional headquarters, and I wouldn't hesitate to carry that phone. It's cute!

I am in a male dominated feild and play golf with a lot of frat boys. My golf clubs have pink grips and a pink putter. When I out drive the guys - no one says anything about the color of my clubs. Go for it!!

i don't think the phone you use speaks anything about being a professional. however, bad grammar...i'd focus on that.

I say go for it - If anything it will be a conversation starter at meetings when everyone is waiting to join the room.

I don't think I would use this for work even though pink is my favorite color. My main gripe about pink phones and colored phones is that when they get scratched...the color tends to peel easily around that area.

It doesn't matter. Go for it. I have never sat in a meeting and thought she has a pink phone how unprofessional. I usually want to see what kind of cool gadget it is.

I think it's cute. Your phone shouldn't be a judge of your professionalism.

I sort of hate to admit that I would probably judge a girl in the workplace who was using a pink phone as their primary source of communication... but it really depends on your workplace and your co-workers. If your co-workers are mostly male and it's an "old boys club" kind of workplace, I'd be wary about it. If it's more laid-back, I suppose it wouldn't matter too much.

I think the shade of pink makes it totally acceptable — hot pink would be a whole other story!

I am a corporate lawyer and there is no way I could get away with a pink phone (sigh) or even "worse," pink laptop :(

I love it. But I'm a cosmetics buyer so I can get away with lots of stuff. ... Depends on work environment. I doubt if Condy Rice would buy a pink phone.
