Savvy Savings Challenge: 40 Days Later and $80 in My Pocket

This inspirational savings update was shared by Lauren in our Savvy Savings Challenge group. She gave up her daily latte fix for all of Lent.

And I only cheated three times! I loved the Savvy Savings Challenge. Not only did I end up saving $80 but also cut down my coffee consumption. On those really tough days I might still make my way to the cafe but it is at least no longer a habit. Now do I want to save the 80 dollars or spend it on a new pair of shoes (save it probably is the way to go but those shoes are adorable)!

How much did you save in the past 40 days and what did you learn from the challenge or your own efforts? Share your updates, takeaways and saving tips in the Savvy Savings Challenge group!

Save it. Remind yourself that there are lots of pretty shoes out there, but you can't have them all. And remember that you already have pretty shoes. Works for me.
