I'm Asking: What Tax Questions Do You Have?

Although a lot of the answers are on the IRS website, some might not have the patience and time to scroll through the mountain of information to find what they really need. As tax season is shoring up, there are quite a few changes that might create some doubts in a taxpayer's mind. To start with, tax day is now on April 18 and you can only start submitting your tax refunds on Valentine's Day.

I'm asking, do you have any concerns or burning tax questions you need answered?

I do have a question! I am a freelance employee for a sports organization. I work full time for 7 months of the year and then I am laid off. By doing this they pay me like a normal employee, not a freelancer that would receive a 1099 tax form. But they do not offer health insurance and I pay a premium out of pocket for private insurance and prescriptions / dental / specialists are not covered by my insurance. Am I able to deduct any of my health insurance costs?
