Kongfrontation was the King Kong-inspired ride that attracted visitors to Universal Studios Florida from 1990 to 2002 before being replaced by Revenge of the Mummy. The makers of the new ride made sure to pay special homage to the former attraction — there's even a three-foot tall golden Kong.
