What's Your Most Memorable Office Party Moment?

What's Your Most Memorable Office Party Moment?

Office holiday parties have the tendency to be awkward, to say the least, which is the reason many workers say they need alcohol to have a good time at these festive functions. On last night's episode of The Office, Meredith took this necessity to the next level and got hammered on a potent alcoholic potion (equal parts scotch, rum, absinthe, gin, vermouth, triple sec, and two packs of Splenda) concocted by the Scranton branch boss himself, Michael Scott.

In celebration of the party's "Nights in Morocco" theme, Meredith lifted up her shirt to show off her belly-dancing skills, and while dancing her hair somehow catches on fire. Check out the video of the absolutely ridiculous Dunder-Mifflin party, and then tell me, what's your most memorable office party moment?

My brother's company had a huge bash over the weekend, and I was invited to come as his guest. Free food, two drink tickets per guest, then cash bar after that. Highlight of the evening was when a friend nudged me and pointed out a dude in his late 30s throwing up into a trash can, wipe his mouth, then go join his friends again like it was no big deal...

Seeing the VP of the division get his butt handed to him after he groped an employee when her husband was about 6 feet away. Awkward, odd, weird and uncomfortable, but he was just one of those a-holes that REALLY had it coming. Hubby got arrested, which sucked, but VP had to make a public apology and got demoted.

A few years ago, we went to my husband's Christmas party that they held at a bar/bowling alley. Apparently, we parked in the wrong parking lot, because I we got a $15 parking ticket. But the company gave out $20 gift certificates as door prizes, so we sort of came out ok. As far as the actual party itself, I had a great time watching my husband's boss try to beat him at darts while both of them were slobbering drunk. I think it was funnier for me because I was sober (I had to be the DD that night).

I don't drink... but I'm glad other people do...drunks are great entertainment when they aren't violent that is.

ha! So funny considering we had our Christmas party last night hahaha.. In my office, every one drinks.. so it's a completely legitimate excuse to reschedule appointments or come in late because you're hung over (mind you I'm an i-9 contractor for a broker but still lol).. Everyone looks very hung over today and what's even better is that I work with 2 other women, 3 gay guys and a straight guy who only dates strippers.. we're quite the team here hahahaaa

haha syako, good one. there's nothing worse than having to act sober at work while you're actually buzzed from booze you had at lunch. it's happened many a time. we had BBQs at my old job all the time, and my most memorable was when a guy had a blender that plugged into his truck lighter and he mixed us margaritas all day until we were all so hammered we couldn't barely walk. i had to get picked up by my boyfriend at 3pm and went home and passed out for the entire afternoon.

most memorable --- getting back to the office after the holiday luncheon and sneaking around finding out who was passed out on their desks. ;) There were quite a few.
