I did Turbo Tax years ago but they missed some things and I wound up owing taxes the next year. I am using Tax Act this year.

If you're just doing the quick and easy version, Turbo Tax is easiest. But H&R Block has a cheaper fee. So I did them both places to make sure I was getting the biggest refund (and so Turbo Tax could explain what H&R didn't), then went with H&R Block for the cheaper price tag.

I'm a little late to comment here, but I thought I should point out that if you make under a certain amount you can use some of these companies' websites to file for free. I work my taxes out myself first, then I use TaxAct to actually file.

i used the H&R block program...but then got a little confused since i have a lot of stuff to enter so i then just went into their office to take care of things, and they STILL confused me .

Turbo Tax - if it's good enough for the Secretary of the Treasury, it's good enough for me! Although it did sort of steer him wrong...

I have used Tax Act for several years, easy to use and affordable, about $30 for federal and state.

I've used TaxAct for the past few years and love it. But I was bummed this year when I couldn't take my file fee's out of my refund...something about they could do it but there was a fee for having the fee taken from the refund...idk I just paid it with me cc.

For the last couple of years we've used Tax Cut but prior to that we'd used Turbo Tax or whatever was cheapest.

I think we're using TaxAct this year, but we've usually used Turbo Tax in the past.

Turbo Tax. Got a EZ filed federal and state for about 25 bucks total. I was happy with that since I payed a lot more than that to have someone do it for me when I didn't need help. Haha.

I usually use Turbo Tax but this year they want $50 from me for filing. I only made $2000 last year, do they THINK I have $50 to spend on doing my taxes?!
