I did eat out with a bunch of friends this past Sunday. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder for $4.89 at Uno. A little treat for myself. bigestivediscuit 6 years Once a week, or more. Eating out is a very important part of my life! weirdy 6 years way too often than i should.. i'm trying to save money at the moment and eating out really dampens my efforts.. made a resolution to try and curb it from today though :) Madaglena 6 years i am a student and live alone. i find myself eating out a lot! i miss my mom's food! she is a fantastic cook! she cooks the yummiest puerto rican food! i know, i need to be cooking for myself to save me a lot of money! Symphonee 6 years I was to the point that I was buying my lunch everyday but I never paid more than $7 for it. I've cut back to maybe twice a week. I hardly ever eat at a resteraunt any more maybe once a month. Kimpossible 6 years A couple times a month. True-Song 6 years Does Thai food delivered count as eating out? If so I ate out three times this week (dinner from Chipotle, dinner delivered, and brunch this morning) but this was a big splurge week. Normally we make a menu for the week, do the shopping on Sunday, and cook at home for most meals. I used to buy lunch most days at work, but even a $5 salad (never mind the $2 drink and $3 magazine I'd buy at Safeway most days along with my salad) added up to $25 a week or over $100 a month. Spectra 6 years Hardly ever. I think we maybe order takeout once every 3 months or so. My husband does sometimes eat lunch at a fast-food place for work, but we don't usually do dinner. ilanac13 6 years we go out for breakfast on the weekends, but luckily together our bill is usually like $4.50 so that's not too bad. Alithyra 6 years Hardly ever. I'll occasionally go out to lunch if there's a office function, but that's it. I always bring breakfast and lunch in. I cook most of the time but go out with the bf sometimes on the weekends. I honestly don't understand the people that insist on going out every day for lunch. muchacha 6 years I try really hard to bring my lunches to work, but I would say I get a lunch to-go about 1-2x a week, then I go out for dinner with my bf and/or friends 1-2x a week as well, so I said 4-5x a week. Lunches run about $10, and dinners around $40, so it does get expensive. Like I said, I make a big effort to bring my lunches to work, and January I brought my lunch every day, so I know I could save more money if I cut those out all together. As for brunches/dinners out, I consider those rewards for working hard that are okay to have. cpianolover 6 years On the weekends, I eat all of my meals at a sit-down restaurant. GlowingMoon 6 years On the weekends, about once or twice a week. bellaressa 6 years Not at all. I cook all the time now and have left overs some days/nights. geebers 6 years I eat out two-three times a week. Usually I bring sandwiches for lunch at work and often make dinner too but every now and then I get lazy or tired. chatondeneige 6 years Umm, did my comment get deleted? It didn't tell me it was going to be screened (and there was no reason for it to be!) and yet it isn't here. Weird, and I'm not digging all the kinks on this version of the site. I consider going out for lunch, even if it's "less than $8" to be going out. When I had a 9-5 job, I ate out almost every day. Now that my job is more sporadic, I eat food from restaurants probably four times a week, but probably an additional meal each week at my restaurant - sometimes I can't help it, 8 hours (9:30-5:30) is a really long time to go without food, and I can't really bring my own food... Banna 6 years I admit to probably 4-5 times a week. I'm a grad student and sometimes its just more important to save my time than money! Once I have a real job I know I'll be better. CaterpillarGirl 6 years I stopped eating out a year ago. we both realized just how much we were spending on going out, taking out and also on groceries. We now budget our money for food and none of it is for going out. I dont miss it at all. starangel82 6 years If we are talking about a sit-down type deal, then rarely. Fast food, I used to eat a ton of before started my diet. bluepuppybites 6 years I hate to eat out because it wastes money. But right now being pregnant, cooking food just seems so gross and right now doing the dishes is the one chore I cannot think about doing, it's so gross right now. Maybe when I do start feeling better I can start cooking at home again. It's just that its more of a waste when I buy food that I think I will use and then later I don't want it so it gets tossed anyways. aimeeb 6 years Rarely...kind of a waste of money these days. Peggasus 6 years I put never, but we do get Pizza Hut maybe once a month. I live in a small town and my options are limited, and I don't like them very much anyway. homekeeper 6 years We normally 'eat out' every Sunday but it is usually Subway or some other take out. I like to serve homemade meals for my family during the week. TidalWave 6 years if i am consuming anything that i did not make in my kitchen, it is "eating out" to me! TidalWave 6 years I get takeout (italian, chinese, thai) with my bf every friday or saturday. If i was single, I would never eat out!
