Your Two Cents: Are You Traveling For the Holidays?

If you're packing your bags to travel to see friends and family this week you probably know what lies ahead: stress, possible delays, and lots of waiting. The East Coast is under a heavy blanket of snow, which has prompted flight delays and cancellations, and this is already a hectic travel week each year. Will you be traveling and braving the storm — whether literally or figuratively — this week?

i;m really sad because i'm not really traveling for the holidays this year. it's because we just had our twins 6 weeks ago and decided that they are just too young/little to put on a plane, but it makes me sad. for the past 3 years we've gone to my husband's family in TX and they go all out for Christmas, but this year we're not doing anything especially because my family doesn't celebrate christmas. we'll be going to my moms though which is something that we do every weekend.

I'm headed from SoCal to Indiana. No real snow there, instead a "wintry mix" which I think is worse. Still hoping for a white Christmas.

I'll be happy to be chilling at home by the fire with my husband and my pets. :)

Maybe. We're expecting a blizzard on Christmas Eve, which is when we're supposed to drive to see my parents, but if the roads are too terrible, we're staying in and just going to see everyone on Christmas Day after the snow stops.

First time NOT traveling in 10 years! I'm so excited to stay home be able to visit some extended family that are just a 40 minute drive away. Safe travels to everyone out there, be it by car, train, or plane. Just be patient and remember that lots of travel problems are beyond your control.

I'm in Virginia, right outside of DC, and the snow is everywhere. My street is really narrow so getting my car out to drive south for the holidays will not be easy! Luckily I don't have to fly anywhere... I've heard it'll be another 36 hours before DC airports are able to get enough crew/staff to fly planes out. Dulles is keeping one runway open for international flights that are coming in.
