Natalie Focuses on Films, Not Footwear

Natalie Portman was looking gorgeous in NYC yesterday while filming 17 Photos of Isabel, formerly known as Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, alongside the actor Scott Cohen. She's been lucky enough to film a lot in the city recently, as she also recently finished up New York, I Love You. It seems like she's focusing all her energies on her big screen projects these days, which seems like a good idea considering that her forays into design aren't faring too well - the fate of her vegan shoe line is in question now that Té Casan, the company that backed her collection, has gone out of business.

Natalie Portman Pursues Love and Other Things in Toronto

Natalie Portman headed to Canada yesterday to join the fun at the Toronto Film Festival. She went casual in a white top in the afternoon for a press conference promoting her film Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, which we saw her filming last year back when it was called 17 Photos of Isabel. By evening Natalie was decked out in a pink Lanvin number to join costar Lisa Kudrow for a red carpet premiere. Natalie has been doing double duty promoting this movie and her forthcoming Brothers, and she's picked up a few unlikely fans. Her recent spread in Interview magazine, in which she confessed a love of obscene rap music, has apparently earned her the esteem of Ghostface Killah from the Wu-Tang Clan.

Zooey and Joseph Kick Off 500 Days of Summer

Zooey Deschanel glowed on the red carpet Wednesday night at the LA premiere of 500 Days of Summer. She shared her big night with costar Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and had plenty of support from her fiance Ben Gibbard and sister Emily. Zooey and Joseph seem like a very sweet pairing, and we're excited to check out the indie movie when it opens on July 17.
