Did Kanye Overreact At The VMAs?

Kanye gave some solid performances last night at the VMAs, but he was less than pleased about losing to JT in 2 categories. Apparently Mr. West had a tantrum backstage, saying, "That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance. I'm trying hard man, I have the ... No. 1 record, man." He followed up today with an interview confirming that he has canceled all his upcoming appearances on MTV, citing a number of grievances against the network. We can understand his frustrations but do you think Kanye is just acting like a big baby?

VMA Parties After Parties

Vegas was hopping (moreso than usual) after last night's VMA bonanza. The Palms held the official after party hosted by Jamie Foxx and hot stuff Jennifer Garner. Elsewhere on the strip, Paris and her entourage headed off to the post-party at the Wynn. It looks like that ex-husband fight was no skin off Pamela Anderson's back as she slipped into a LWD to dance the night away. After the hot (and not so hot) performances at the show, obviously everyone wanted to let loose. Though, really, didn't the format of last night's VMAs kinda feel like you were just watching all the stars get wasted? I'm looking at you concert-delaying Timberlake. Hey, at least he wasn't caught by the cameras at the post parties!

During The VMA Party Was The Hotel Room Party

The performances at last night's VMAs were certainly inconsistent. The show kicked off with Britney's lackluster (Scared? Self-conscious? Nonchalant? I can't decide - check it out here) performance and then seemed like it wasn't going to pick up. While I appreciate the nonstop party idea they were going for with all the party suites, I missed all the big performances. That being said Rihanna/Chris Brown, Alicia Keys and Justin/Nelly Furtado/Timbaland were pretty awesome. Seriously, little Mr. Brown has some MOVES! Dayum. The rest of the performances seemed odd, being in hotel rooms and all. Or maybe I was just jealous I wasn't right there as Kanye sang Stronger. What did you think? Highlights? Lowlights?

JT and Rih are MTV's VMAs Big Winners

Call me crazy but I didn't think Britney's performance was the worst part of the show last night. I would give that award to Sarah Silverman. Seriously, how does this woman still get hired? First the Paris jokes were hideous earlier this summer and now this time Brit was her chosen target. I get it - they are easy for material, but come on - get more creative and less vulgar. Thankfully once we got past her opening the show picked up. Rihanna won many deserving awards however we hoped her rumored boyfriend Shia was going to give it to her. Instead he told us the supposed new IJ4 title - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. (Thrilling isn't it?) Other highlights (besides the performances) included another face to face moment from Kanye and 50 Cent, and Jamie Foxx joking about the Kid Rock and Tommy Lee fight. Britney's Performance Two Ways

Molly: Britney, I never counted myself among your loyal fans, but sitting next to one of your most devoted every day, I've waited patiently for your comeback this year. On stage last night you looked both terrified and over it. Both wanting the public's approval and wishing you never had to ask for it again. Plus, you're still hot and all - but come on now? Underwear? Even back with your snake you wore pants. It was hard to watch, and as you ran off the stage at the end it was obvious that you weren't entirely proud either. As I said, I love me some Toxic, but I'm not jamming out like Katie to your new single. Pop, on the other hand...

Pop: Oh Britney. Where do we go from here? I have been a fan that has been holding out for 2 years for your big comeback. I have been waiting patiently as you raised your kids, got married and divorced twice, watched you spend time promoting perfume instead of dancing and singing and then finally your time came tonight...and well, let's just say, it went. I don't want to think you peaked before 25 but how much longer can I hold out for what was one of the most entertaining pop stars to return?

Pop: Clearly you need some new people you can trust. You should have been told you could not wear your underwear on stage. It was not sexy. It's not that a mother of two can't show off her body but when you are known for your signature abs you better hide them until they are back before parading around half naked. Maybe if you dressed the part and danced with confidence then this post would be totally different. We expected more and you knew it by the way you ran off that stage. No one actually thought you would sing but you could have at least acted like you were. You looked like you were somewhere else the entire performance. We have no idea what is going on in your mind but we're begging you - Please blow us away with this album and some videos - Stop partying and get your ass back in shape like the girl on the treadmill in Chaotic - Show us that confident woman you used to be so we can still support you because if you keep falling flat like you did last night then there's no more desire to see what you will do next and life would be so different with no Britney Spears phenomenon to follow.

Molly: See Brit? People are still waiting, even after last night. We all know you lip sync, but at least you used to pretend and the world played along. Whether it was Sarah Silverman's cowardly jabs just after you exited stage left or the Palms curbing your stunts, you just weren't there last night. Lucky for you, your fans haven't given up hope yet. Just get it together (as if you haven't heard that one) and give us more, way more than that.

Girls Get Leggy At The VMAs

The ladies were showing off their sass on the red carpet at last night's MTV VMAs. Just about the only girl not showing off her legs was Rihanna who certainly wasn't hiding her hot bod. It all looks good for a steamy Vegas night. What did you think about all the red carpet looks and beauty? Jennifer Garner was definitely a little bit of a random addition to the crew, but looked stunning! Ashlee was another highlight - though really she's 100% not the girl from her MTV show. Overall though, the ladies did the MTV red carpet right - keeping it light, fun and funky. Rewind for a sec back to Garner, yowza!
