The Bucket List took the top spot at the box office over the weekend, narrowly beating Tracy Morgan's First Sunday, while Juno came in at third. Even in a cheesy buddy flick, you just can't top two of the biggest actors in the world side by side on screen. - BuzzSugar

The Golden Globe Awards Were...

...A let down to say the least. Feel free to finish the sentence however you want but it's clear this was the most uneventful year in Golden Globe history. The press conference held at the Beverly Hills Hilton included a bunch of entertainment news anchors from ET, E! News, and The Insider who admitted they would never normally be invited to hand out Globes but this year they were pleased to fill in. Bottom line - this strike needs to end. This was an embarrassment to Hollywood's finest and we hope this helps the writers' strike end faster since we've got Oscars and more coming up in the next few weeks and we want more. Click here to see all the winners - the only one I am overjoyed with is David Duchovny winning for best actor in TV Comedy.

There are just a few hours left before The Big Press Conference announcing the winners of this year's Golden Globes. We're not exactly sure what to expect tonight, but we will be covering the excitement and will be here for you so you can dish on the winners, give your reactions and, if we are lucky, have some sort of parties, fashion and beauty looks too, so stay tuned.

This also means you still have a little bit of time to submit your predictions for the winners with Buzz's online Golden Globes ballot. Once all your predictions are entered, you're qualified to win a full year of entertainment! Better do it now, though - the ballot closes at noon PST today.

Hillary Clinton and John McCain won the New Hampshire primaries yesterday, giving a boost to both of their campaigns after defeats in Iowa. Things are really heating up in the races for both parties as the country moves toward the Super Tuesday primaries on Feb. 5. - CNN
Paula Abdul apparently had a very public breakdown while waiting for a flight at LAX over the holidays, hyperventilating and screaming the names Michael, Sidney, and Leslie into her phone. This sounds like more than just typical holiday stress. - Radar
Lauren Conrad is leaving the Hollywood Hills, as she just purchased a $2 million 4-bedroom house in a different part of LA. Her reality TV gig must be really paying off. - Page Six
Steven Spielberg, who was to receive the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime-achievement award at this weekend's Golden Globes, will instead receive the honor next year when there is a full show. Just another casualty of the GG's cancellation. - Variety

Atonement, Charlie, Sweeney, Clayton, Country Score Big at Golden Globe Nominations

Hayden Panettiere, Ryan Reynolds and Quentin Tarantino were out bright and early this morning in LA to announce the nominees for the 65th annual Golden Globe Awards. Check out the full list of nominations here! For movies, in the drama categories, Atonement scored biggest with seven nominations including Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress (go Keira!), and Screenplay. Michael Clayton and the excellent No Country For Old Men each nabbed four including Best Picture and especially excited to see Clooney Best Actor and Javier for Best Supporting respectively. As for Comedy/Musicals, Charlie Wilson's War got the most nominations with five (including Hanks, Roberts and Seymour Hoffman) while Sweeney Todd nabbing four (including for Johnny Depp and Tim Burton specifically). As expected, Angelina got the nod for A Mighty Heart. I'm also especially excited to see Ryan Gosling nominated for Lars and Casey Affleck for Jesse James.

As for television, sooo excited to see Californication getting nominated in Best Series and Best Actor (yay, Duchovny) along with my beloved 30 Rock. Meanwhile, The Office and even more surprisingly The Sopranos only got one nomination apiece. Also, yay for Pushing Daisies for getting a few nods. Congrats to all the nominees!

Hayden Is Golden Globes' Girl

Hayden Panettiere bundled up for a trip to DC on Thursday with her mom and adorable puppy. The actress was headed east to speak at the Weather Channel's Forecast Earth Summit about her work with the environment and dolphins. Between all the fabulous parties and her many visits to the gym, the young starlet is keeping herself busy these days. Plus, she just added another exciting event to her list - Hayden will get up at the crack of dawn to announce the Golden Globe nominations next Thursday morning in LA. Hopefully, this means she'll have some good news to deliver to her fellow Heroes.

Christian Has Many Opportunities to Cheer on The Dark Knight

Christian Bale went incognito with his baseball hat and scruffy goatee while out and about LA on Monday. The third most profitable actor of the year has more blockbusters ahead, but these next few months are about looking back on 2008. The Dark Knight was recognized by the Producers Guild of America as a nominee for Best Picture and it's up for multiple awards at tonight's People's Choice Awards, tomorrow's Critics Choice Awards, not to mention Sunday's Golden Globes (don't forget to fill out a ballot now). Since a few of those ensemble acting nods include Mr. Bale, there's a good chance one of those red carpets is going to require a shave.
