MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play. Eva, America, Ashley, and Jessica Shine at the Alma Awards

Last night in Pasadena stars came out to grace the red carpet and stage at the 2008 Alma Awards. Once again, Eva Longoria played host for the night and showed off a few costume changes like she did at last year's awards. Jessica Alba didn't have Cash with her to gaze lovingly like Eva and Tony, but she lit up the red carpet all the same continuing her smiley weekend. America Ferrera took home Entertainer of the Year while Shakira was named Humanitarian of the Year. Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale were on hand to present a special achievement award to High School Musical 2 director Kenny Ortega. Some of our favorite shows like Ugly Betty, Scrubs, Lost, and How I Met Your Mother were also honored at the event, check out the full list of winners here. The show airs Sept. 12 on ABC.

Sugar Bits - Toni Braxton Hospitalized Overnight

Sugar Bits - SAG Award Nominees Announced

The nominees for the 2008 Screen Actors Guild awards were announced this morning in LA with Into the Wild and Cate Blanchett leading the pack. Head over to Buzz to check out the full list.
Kate Moss is trying to get a legal injunction to stop Pete Doherty from using their "raunchy" home videos in a TV special that a British channel is paying him $1 million to put together. The program is called "Kate and Pete: A Love Story" and it sounds like we're not the only ones happy that love story is over. - Page Six
The 2008 People's Choice Awards has been canceled due to the writers' strike, and winners will be asked to send in taped acceptance speeches so the network has something to air instead. Hopefully this doesn't mean the Oscars are in danger, too. - BuzzSugar
Ashlee Simpson is apparently upset that the announcement of Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy took attention away from the release of her third album and her new video. That probably isn't a spotlight Ashlee should be jealous of. - The Scoop

The beautiful and very well-dressed hit the red carpet in NYC last night for the CFDA Awards. The honors may have been all about the designers - check out all the winners here - but the photo ops belonged to the star-studded guest list. Just another night in the life of these fabulous familiar faces. Victoria Beckham may not be in any more of Marc Jacobs' quirky ads, but she looked fierce back in those high heels on his arm and posing with her new BFF Eva Longoria. Other highlights included a towering Mandy Moore, a demure Ashley Olsen and a very sparkly Hilary Duff. Musicians Make Merry After the Grammys

It may have been a looong Grammy Awards, but it was only more reason to keep the party going after the show ended. The stars got to mix and mingle with their fellow musicians at the Sony BMG Party, making for some predictable (and a few unlikely) pairings. Nicole and Joel were looking a little worn out, while Beyonce was practically glowing in yellow next to John Mayer, making her fourth outfit change of the night. Which B outfit was your favorite? Also, is it just us, or did John look a little too pretty-boy last night? Carrie Underwood naturally gravitated toward country star Brad Paisley, while Jay-Z looked absolutely thrilled to be posing with Chris Daughtry. We just wish we could eavesdrop on a few of their conversations, although something tell us that Amy Winehouse's performance was a hot topic across the board.
