The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night — smiley, happy and healthy. Mary Louise Parker was the most eye catching of all in her bright blue number though you all were fairly divided on the look while Brooke Shields lived up to the name of her show in Lipstick pink.

The men left all the color to the ladies on the red carpet at the Emmys last night, keeping it tame in their dapper suits and tuxes. True to form, the Entourage boys walked and posed together, while Jeremy Piven and John Krasinski held their own with their hands in their pockets. Diddy hammed it up as usual, and Patrick Dempsey, Jon Hamm, and Neil Patrick Harris added just a little more dreaminess to the equation.

Neil Patrick Harris and Kristen Chenoweth were up and at 'em early this morning to announce the 2008 Primetime Emmy Nominations — and thankfully they were both able to celebrate with acting nods of their own! As expected, the excellent Mad Men scored big with noms for Best Drama Series, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, and Damages also got recognized big. We're particularly excited to see adorable Lee Pace nominated for Pushing Dasies which got a whole bunch, Amy Poehler for SNL in the first year acting nods were allowed for the show, and the Matt Damon/Ben Affleck videos get recognized (even if Sarah and Jimmy are no longer)!

There were lots of Emmy after parties to choose from last night, but big winners Stephen Colbert and Sarah Silverman remained true to their network at the Comedy Central Party at STK. It may not have been the most star-studded bash, but judging from the laughs Stephen brought to the press room, there must have been plenty of fun to go around. Sarah and Kanye were red carpet absentees, but considering the boring show reviews, and reportedly really low ratings partying into the wee hours was probably a better time anyway.

All the women at the Primetime Emmy Awards looked beautiful on the red carpet last night, but some caught our eyes more than others with their bright and colorful gowns. You've voted on the best dressed women and now we want to know who wore the most exciting dress. Tell us — who was your favorite red carpet standout?

After the highs and lows of the Emmys show the party really got started. For many, the first stop was the Governor's Ball like Heidi in yet another gown before the other bashes. Some were off to the ET/People bash while others went to hear Samantha Ronson spin at Kress nightclub for the TV Guide soiree.

After taking the podium, the winners and presenters headed back to the press area to pose with their statues and field all sorts of interviews. Buzz and I were lucky enough to be back in the Press Room during last night's Emmys to catch the victorious in all their glory. Buzz has some of the best highlights from Mad Men, 30 Rock, Colbert, Stewart and more.

Oprah wowed in red as she opened the show after the cool What's my line? clip but unfortunately following her was the reality hosts talking about nothing. It was almost as uncomfortable as watching Ricky Gervais ask for his Emmy back from Steve Carell.

Josh Groban may sometimes be a punchline, but he took to the stage at the Emmys tonight to show off his impressive pipes. He performed a medley of 30 famous television show theme songs to celebrate TV's big night and didn't miss a beat. While we're also curious about what kind of drama went on backstage with a possible run in with ex-girlfriend, January Jones, based on his performance he seemed right on cue.
