Kiefer Sutherland is a prime example of a man who is getting better as he gets older, and if his dad Donald is anything to go by, he'll continue to look great. The shirtless
24 star was running along Malibu beach yesterday, looking for his dog and treating us to a glimpse of his tattoos. Makes me so jealous that my girl
Buzz got to see him in the flesh.
24 to Head to Africa After All for Prequel Even without the writers' strike, the seventh season of Fox's 24 might have been in trouble. The show had some fairly legendary production problems that caused the writers to scrap one entire plotline that would have sent Jack to Africa.
24: The Unaired 1994 Episode
In this spoof pilot episode of 24, Agent Bauer must disassemble a bomb before it ticks to everyone's demise. But there's one problem— the year is 1994 and pay phones, bike messengers, floppy disks, old-school printers with perforated paper, dial-up internet service, AOL chat rooms, VHS tapes, and polaroid cameras aren't all too conducive to high-speed progress. Will Bauer complete or bomb his mission?

Looks like
The Office is one of the first casualties of the Hollywood
writers' strike. Jenna Fischer wrote today that
the show has just two new episodes left before reruns kick in. Here's a video of the writers picketing (thanks to
Lindsb for posting it in
The Office group):
Here are some other developments from day three of the strike:

Fox held
a big event in Times Square this morning to unveil the trailer for the upcoming seventh season of
24. But if you couldn't be in New York to hobnob with Mary Lynn Rajskub at the party, no worries — I've got the trailer right here.
A couple of early thoughts on it: Given the show's now-legendary
production problems putting this season together, it's amazing they have this many scenes done already.

When is that again?
"24" will be starting right back up with a two-night season premiere starting on Sunday January 13 from 8:00-10:00 PM and continuing on Monday January 14 from 9:00-10:00 PM.
And what's this about Tony.
According to
a Fox press release, "Day 7" will begin like this: "With CTU dismantled, the show's setting moves to Washington, DC, where Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) faces trial for his actions in the pursuit of justice. Bauer's day gets off to a shocking start when former colleague Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), last seen in 'Day 5,' returns after being left for dead by a terrorist conspirator in CTU's infirmary." Tony's back!
Will you be watching?
It's a bit of a ways off, but I'm cautiously excited for this next season of "24." It lost me — along with plenty of other viewers, from what I can tell — this past season, so I'm hoping it can only go up from here.

Between its
critical drubbing and its
two production delays, "24" hasn't given me a whole lot of reasons to be optimistic this summer. But this piece of news has me reconsidering my doubts:
Janeane Garofalo will be joining the cast to play a government agent investigating a crisis that strikes Jack's team. The news is the second major addition of the summer; last month,
Cherry Jones was tapped to play the show's first female president.
Garofalo's last major TV appearance was on "The West Wing" in 2006.
