Ashton and Lea Cause a Stir at Their New Year's Eve Premiere

Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele got their flirt on last night at the LA premiere of New Year's Eve. She brought along her best friend Jonathan Groff as her date, but later even thanked Ashton on Twitter. Lea wrote to Ashton, "It was such an honor working with you. I cannot thank you enough."

Joining Ashton and a Valentino-clad Lea on the red carpet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre were their other costars, including Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Abigail Breslin. Hilary Swank, meanwhile, posed in a sequined Elie Saab gown. Katherine Heigl threw an arm around husband Josh Kelley, and Josh Duhamel accompanied wife Fergie. Sofia Vergara posed solo and looked amazing in a LBD. The cast moved on to an afterparty held at Hollywood and Highland, where Sofia tweeted that Ludacris joined in on the fun.

Reese Raves About Jen at the Women in Hollywood Event, With Barbra, Naomi, and More

The Elle Women in Hollywood Tribute, held inside LA's Four Seasons Hotel last night, brought out many A-list stars to toast honorees Jennifer Aniston, Barbra Streisand, Michelle Pfeiffer, Viola Davis, Evan Rachel Wood, Freida Pinto, Naomi Watts, Elizabeth Olsen, and DreamWorks studio head Stacey Snider. Jennifer Aniston brought boyfriend Justin Theroux along for the bash, and she looked amazing in a Kaufmanfranco dress. Elizabeth and Freida, meanwhile, picked Calvin Klein dresses for the occasion.

Many of the ladies paid tribute to legend award-winner Barbra, though Reese reserved her comments for Jennifer. Reese raved about Jennifer, saying, "You just want to get your nails done with her, and you want to make out with her at the same time. At least I do - and that's what we do sometimes on Saturdays." Reese also had time to say hi to her This Means War costar and pal, Chelsea Handler, as well as Robin Wright. Katherine Heigl made it an adorable date night with her husband, Josh Kelley, and Rachel Zoe stepped out in a long, flowy gown. We caught up with some of the ladies on the gray carpet before the event began. Naomi spoke about how amazing it was to shoot with Leonardo DiCaprio on their upcoming movie, J. Edgar, and joked that unlike some actors she's worked with, she likes him just as much as his work. Abigail Breslin Rocks Out in the Janie Jones Trailer

Janie Jones premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April, and the movie is heading to theaters this October. In the trailer for the film starring Abigail Breslin and Alessandro Nivola, we see a junkie mother (Elisabeth Shue) dropping off her 13-year-old daughter Janie (Breslin) at the seedy club where the girl's rocker dad Ethan (Nivola) is about to take the stage. The dumbfounded father, who up until that moment didn't know he had a daughter, is left to balance drugs, booze, and fatherhood as he hits the road with his band and daughter in an effort to revive his flailing career.

When his band members can't deal with Ethan's reckless behavior anymore and abandon the tour, the father-daughter bonding can finally begin. Cue Ethan stumbling upon Janie playing the guitar in an empty alleyway, and the pair conveniently have a shared interest to fuel their relationship. Though the film is inspired by a true story, the preview makes the happenings look a little too easy - especially when Janie's dad starts using her songs. Along the way, the foursome said hello to a police officer and encountered a few friendly dogs. SJP was back to the set of New Year's Eve this morning to film a scene opposite one of the movie's many stars, Abigail Breslin. Sarah Jessica has been choosing projects that shoot close to home lately, including her recently wrapped I Don't Know How She Does It, which has given her ample time to spend with her girls and her son, James Wilkie, on the weekends.

He did team up with the ladies last week, though, at the movie's LA debut. He was also on hand for a press conference just before the big night, where he chatted about his sex-symbol status and how his children feel about his career. He and his costar Isla are both parents to two kids, and we just got a first look at her adorable youngest daughter earlier this month. She's been away from home promoting the film, but has had support from her family, with her dad joining her on the red carpet in Berlin on Sunday.

Garry Marshall's New Year's Eve Attracts Big Names

If you thought Valentine's Day lined up quite the star-studded ensemble, then wait until you see the list of growing names for its follow-up, New Year's Eve. Garry Marshall has tapped several A-listers for the ensemble romantic comedy. Glee's Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin have already signed on to the film, but now Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, and Ashton Kutcher are reportedly circling parts as well.

Here's a quick breakdown of the new roles:

De Niro will play a man dying in a hospital.
Pfeiffer is a secretary with unfulfilled New Year's resolutions to tackle.
Swank will step in as a producer of the Times Square ball drop.
Kutcher is a guy who hates New Year's Eve (so I'm guessing he won't be reprising his role as the Valentine's Day's florist?).

While there's no word on Michele or Breslin's parts, my guess is Breslin will be fulfilling the film's puppy love requirement, much like Emma Roberts did in the first film.

What are your thoughts on this ensemble? I'm sure we'll be seeing more names come in as other roles are assigned, but I can't wait to see which actors get paired off as couples. Perhaps Lea and Ashton could even share some romantic screen time!
