Guys Celebrate Their Favorite Ladies, Movies

The gentlemen were in charge at Saturday night's SpikeTV Guys Choice Awards. The men brought out their favorites, like a glowing Mandy Moore and Elisa Cuthbert's ill-planned hair. Perennial dude favorites Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler were also in the house talking to their bathroom humor loving fanbase. The show doesn't air until the 13th, so I won't ruin all the winners for you (though these pictures do a decent job of it themselves). As for highlights, I think that this image of Tracy Morgan's appearance speaks for itself. In that he was probably drunk (despite his monitoring ankle bracelet, which by all accounts isn't really stopping him) and just let his mind grapes run wild. He's amazing.

Billboard Awards Preview: Ace Young

As you all know, we're at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards which air tonight on FOX and we're having a blast meeting lots of Fox TV talent and American Idol stars. We especially enjoyed getting some one-on-one time with Ace Young who was even cuter (and taller!) in person than he looks on TV and who has a ton going on right now.

He just came off the 60-show Idol tour and self-released his first single, "Scattered," which you can buy on iTunes. According to Ace, the song is "about a girl" but also tells the story of his unconventional rise to fame:

“It’s part of me. It’s a metaphor about my life in the music industry. I toured with Brian McKnight and New Edition, but I couldn't get a deal I was really really happy with. So I said, if I can’t get it through the office, I’m gonna get it through the people, and so I tried out for Idol."

Right now Ace is working on the songs for his debut album with legendary songwriter Desmond Child, but he says he also likes to throw in a few covers "for the guys" since Idol didn't really show that side of him. "They didn't show that I was gonna play college football as a wide receiver or be a musician." Also, he's coming to play an acoustic set in SF in just a few days, so that means we'll get a double dose of Ace in one week!

What we really love about Ace though, is the very cool charitable foundation he started called High Rollers With Heart. For years Ace has worked with the Children's Hospital in Denver, so the charity is raising money to build a facility where families can stay when kids are undergoing treatment at the hospital. The goal is to raise $100,000 by year's end, and so far Ace says already they've raised $61 grand.

American Idol Season Eight Goes Out With a Bang

Last night American Idol finalists Kris Allen and Adam Lambert took the stage for the last time, joined by former contestants and big stars alike. Nicole Richie enjoyed her dad's duet with Danny Gokey with Joel and her little sister Sophia, while Victoria and Romeo Beckham took seats in the audience as well. As promised, the night was full of fun surprises from Kara's surprise sing along (and smokin' hot bikini body - who knew?) to an awesome rendition of "We Are the Champions" featuring Queen.

Other favorites were Fergie getting down with the Black Eyed Peas and Allison singing "Time After Time" with Cyndi Lauper - what was your favorite moment? Of course, the biggest surprise of the night may have been Kris's big win, and no one looked more shocked than the new idol himself. Whether or not you agree with the results, both Adam and Kris proved their star power all season and we're sure that we'll be seeing and hearing a whole lot more from these talented boys in the years to come. Paris Rallies the Hilton Family to Help Erase MS

Paris Hilton followed through with her talking Erase MS t-shirt, by continuing to show her dedication to the cause at the 15th Annual Race to Erase MS event in LA this weekend. She didn't have her possible future husband by her side, but she did have plenty of support from her parents and sister Nicky. Too bad Nicky didn't help pick out her family's outfits since she is the best dressed of the bunch. Also worth noting is that Tara Reid was having an on night, looking fresh faced and polished in her yellow gown. We thought these three weren't friends anymore after Taradise but apparently a good cause can help bring frenemies together.

Very Few Fashion Whammys With the Men at the Grammys

The guys went mostly classy at last night's Grammy awards with a few exceptions - I'm looking at your leather suit, Daughtry. Perennially well-dressed John Legend and Jay-Z were highlights as always and Seal isn't afraid to take a risk. This time that risk included tight white pants and Velcro shoes. Chris Brown kept it appropriately youthful with his suit, though he didn't make his red and white look totally patriotic by walking the red carpet with his rumored flame Rihanna in blue. Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg was so stern, what happened to his usual smile? So what about you, any favorite boys on the red carpet?
