Charlize, Anne, and Jessica Stand Up Against Violence
Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, and Jessica Alba came together over the weekend at a luncheon to support V-Day, an organization that works to end violence against women. The event specifically concentrated on the Congo, but the women spoke about Rihanna's recent assault drama as well. Here's what the ladies said:
- Jessica Alba on Rihanna incident: "When things happen publicly, it just makes it a more universal problem that more people can relate to."
- Rosario Dawson on violence: "What's so incredible is the sympathy, courage, love and compassion that comes from [the V-Day cause].
George Clooney Still Has Facial Hair and Political Opinions
George Clooney was back in LA and back with his mustache out to dinner at Dan Tana's in LA last night. Talk continues to heat up about George coming back to ER for the final season, with Noah Wyle recently hinting that the actor was trying to make it work. For now, George is focusing on bigger issues like speaking out against Proposition 8 recently passing.
Jen and Violet's Smiley School Days
This past weekend Jen and Ben hosted a fundraiser, which raised $475,000 towards a new athletic center for the University of Charleston. While she glowed in a green gown in West Virginia, it was back to business yesterday in LA taking Violet to preschool. Violet's got a new back to school Fall wardrobe, but she still managed to incorporate her love for all things striped.
