Chuck is My New Crush

It's official. I have a new obsession. The super cute Zachary Levi is coming to NBC on Monday nights and my TiVo is already set. Chuck is by far my favorite new NBC series. It is created by another favorite, Josh Schwartz (he did a little thing we LOVED called The O.C.). We are still holding out that the now saucy Rachel Bilson will somehow join this cast to make the ultimate best show EVER but Zach was so entertaining that I am warning you now, I will be writing about him a lot. He's a more suburban version of Seth Cohen in a show that is a cross between Alias and The Office (do I have your attention yet?). Oh and did I mention the adorable Zachary Levi is the title character?!? The Less Then Perfect actor (yeah, I never saw that ABC show either) looks better than ever. MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play. It Was a Night Full of Tears and Laughter at the Golden Globes

After last year's abridged version of the Globes, everyone seemed excited to go back to the traditional show with all the Hollywood glamour and exciting speeches. Jennifer Lopez kicked off the show in her gold revealing gown where she handed out the first award to last night's real star - Kate Winslet. The actress scored a double win at the beginning and the end of the show and her heartfelt loving thank yous to both Leo and her husband were a highlight. So was when she forgot someone in particular in her category - Kate recovered and gave Angelina a shout out as well, but phew, we got a little worried when she asked, "Who's the other one?" Bruce Springsteen joked that he has and never will be in the same category as Clint Eastwood again. Chris Nolan accepted Heath Ledger's posthumous win to a standing ovation from the whole room. Johnny Depp made a quick appearance to present Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy to Sally Hawkins. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn't take home any trophies but looked just fine cuddling up and kissing throughout the ceremony.

The 30 Rock crew got big laughs most of the night. Some of Alec's jokes fell flat but we're happy he scored an award and even happier loose cannon Tracey Morgan was allowed to accept the award for the show. Mad Men got to celebrate for real this year with their trophy for Best Dramatic Series. Colin Farrell was happy and surprised to win an award though he sniffed and made a not-so-appropriate coke joke. That still went over better than Sacha Baron Cohen, who was booed by the audience when he joked that because of the recession Madonna had to let go of her personal assistant Guy Ritchie. Spielberg getting the Cecile B. Demille award reminded us so much of why we love the movies especially what he has created. Mickey Rourke won Best Dramatic Actor but his acceptance speech was a little too colorful for the censors. Slumdog Millionaire and Vicky Cristina Barcelona were the big winners of the night and everyone enjoyed celebrating at one of our favorite award shows of the season.

SAG Awards Let Actors Like Tina, Kate & Sean Mingle and Win

It was a big celebratory dinner party for Hollywood's finest last night as actors of TV and movies came together for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Both the women and the men brought some excitement on the red carpet, but when they got inside it was all about mingling between awards. Brad and Angelina stayed in their seats other than when he was presenting Button as an ensemble cast nominee, but kept the smiles big for whenever the cameras panned their way. They were in better spirits than the red carpet at least. Penelope Cruz snuggled up to Meryl Streep who walked away with a statue while John Krasinski hung out with Josh Brolin and Steve Carell - let us know what you think about the winners here.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler posed together. An emotional Gary Oldman accepted the award on behalf of Heath Ledger who earned another win. Otherwise, Katie Holmes looked fantastic presenting her award and we're always happy to see Mad Men recognized. In that same vein, yay for Slumdog Millionaire, which was the night's big winner, which bodes well for next month's Oscars.

Salma, Anne, and Slumdog Keep Award Shows Rolling

Last night the 2008 National Board of Review Awards Gala was held at Cipriani's in NYC and once again the ladies were dressed to impress. Sexy Salma continues her fabulous fashion streak and Naomi Watts looks like a million bucks after baby. Anne Hathaway scored another award for Best Actress for Rachel Getting Married while Josh Brolin took home one for Milk. Slumdog was another big winner with Best Film and Dev Patel for Breakthrough Performance by an Actor. A lot of the faces remain the same but we're loving award season so far.

The Piano Man Lures Fancy Celebs to The Hamptons

All sorts of celebrities came out Saturday night in the Hamptons for a Billy Joel concert as part of the Social @ Ross series. MK took a break from her new Weeds life for the event, along with Billy's former wife Christie Brinkley and now wife Katie Lee. It always seems a little random to see Renee Zellweger out and about, though she's looking pretty happy, so, uh, yay? Kelly Ripa and Mark were adorable as always. Meanwhile, check out the gallery for this event -- Alec Baldwin has seen better days and Adam Sandler might have fallen asleep mid-show. Whoops. Being said, I'm sure the show was a blast. The Piano Man is quite the performer.

Buffy, Chuck, and Dillon Football Hit the Paley Festival

This year's Paley Festival in LA has brought out some of our favorite TV stars new, old, and somewhere in between. This week after the Apatow/Pushing Daisies fun, the crews from Friday Night Lights and Chuck both took the stage. Mr. Zachary Levi could use a haircut, but I guess he doesn't have to just yet, since Chuck isn't coming back until next Fall. And speaking of coming back - yay! - the FNL cast says they are very hopeful about being able to return for season three - check out more on those panels here. The biggest news of the festival, however, has to be the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion with adorable Sarah Michelle Gellar. Everyone other than Alyson was out to answer questions from some of the show's most diehard fans. Buzz was lucky enough to be in the audience, so don't miss her take on all the excitement.

ABC Upfronts

Grey's Anatomy is doing so well for ABC that they are moving the show to Thursday nights in the fall. We enjoyed the finale although nothing really surprised us about the ending. Also, as an FYI, Chris O'Donnell is returning to the show in the fall but we're not sure how long. What does this mean? It looks like the love triangle will continue between McDreamy, Meredith and Finn.

ABC was one of the first to allow episodes to be purchased online which is brilliant. Now they are working on a way to solve the repeat issue. Now onto the new fall schedule. So what is taking Grey's Sunday night slot? How about the new Calista Flockhart, Balthazar Getty, Rachel Griffiths promising new drama called Brothers and Sisters. Also looking very interesting is the Thursday night show post-Grey's show called Six Degrees which is produced by JJ Abrams. Stay tuned for reviews later this summer as we gear up for the new season.

SIX DEGREES
Six strangers living in New York City become friends after eventually meeting again through a mysterious web of happenstance and coincidence. TRAVELER (midseason)

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (midseason)
Four friends in theirs 30s, who have not seen each other since their high school days, are reunited for different reasons in a hospital emergency room. The cast includes former Full House/Summerland star Lori Loughlin, Jonathon Silverman, David Arquette, Greg Germann, Kelly Hu, and Nicholas Roget-King.

LET'S ROB
In the wake of a co-worker's death, an aging janitor (Donal Logue) recruits a group of misfits for a heist to finance his dreams of opening a bar. The cast also includes Josh Grisetti, Maz Jobrani, Koji Kataoka, Kevin Michael Richardson, Lenny Venito, and Sofia Vergara. Mick Jagger guest stars in the pilot.

NOTES FROM THE UNDERBELLY
After a woman who is dead-set on not having children finds out she is expecting, she and her husband try to keep it a secret from their friends. Jennifer Westfeldt, Peter Cambor, Rachel Harris, and Michael Weaver star.
