Britney's Parents Worry For Her Safety

Britney's first night back out in LA was proof that the more things come out into the open, the more things stay the same for the pop tart. Following her afternoon of driving around and visiting the office of the lawyer that wants to remove her dad as conservator with Adnan, Britney and her boy checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel. Soon after, her parents released a statement to Anderson Cooper about the day's proceedings and Britney being allowed to leave the hospital. The statement read:

"As parents of an adult child in the throws of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe. We are deeply concerned about our daughter's safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court's orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted."

Britney was apparently released early from UCLA because there was "no just cause" for her being held longer. According to TMZ, Britney's father is expected back in court tomorrow to request that he be given more power as her conservator. This could include his being able to control all her financial decisions (like hotel rooms) and who she spends time with (like bringing the paparazzo into her car, or seeing Adnan). OK! was reporting that Jamie Spears even showed up at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night with legal papers to get into Brit's room and try to bring her home.

Britney Taken Back Into Psychiatric Care After Dramatic Night

For the second time this week, there was a dramatic scene at Britney's house. After not sleeping at all Tuesday night, Britney spent her Wednesday around LA with her entourage, dining with Adnan and fighting publicly with Sam. From there, the details are fuzzy, but things went downhill. What we know is that there are cops and helicopters at her house right now along with more photographers than usual. According to TMZ, rumors of a suicide attempt are untrue, but there is a psychiatrist at the house along with Lynne, Adnan, Sam and Alli who are fighting and trying once again to have Britney temporarily put under psychiatric care. Britney herself is said to be "out of it" and "unresponsive." We'll keep you updated as the story develops.

Update: Apparently it was Brit's psychiatrist who called the cops to help deal with the situation. Ambulances arrived on the scene and she is on her way to the hospital right now. Once again, she is there on a 5150 hold, meaning she has been deemed a danger to herself or others.

Update #2: According to TMZ, tonight was intricately planned out including clearing airspace as they transport Britney to the hospital. Britney was apparently not resistant to going, and we can only imagine how out of it she was after days without sleep. Tensions sound high among Sam, Lynne and Adnan. During this 72 hour stay she can't be forced to take medication, but supposedly the plan is for her Dr. to go to court and request that she be kept an additional 14 days to be treated.

Britney's Not Pregnant But She Is Suing

Thankfully the photos showing Britney and Adnan purchasing the pregnancy test were just to mess with us. Original, isn't it? Sam Lutfi said it was all BS and they were "just toying with the paparazzi." In fact, the agency that sold the images happened to be the same one Adnan works for. Maybe Brit cut a deal with them since she could use the income. The pregnancy news would have been troubling so now that we can all say phew to that scary rumor, let's move on to the latest Brit story. Page Six reports that Britney will sue Dani Brubaker, the photographer who sold images of Britney and her boys to OK! magazine. Most of you thought she was wrong to sell them so maybe this is one legal battle Britney will easily win. In the meantime, Britney was busy dining with Adnan in her ripped fishnet stockings. Classy.

Britney and Adnan Shop, Wander, Hopefully Don't Have a Baby

Stop me if you've heard this one before: Britney Spears spent Tuesday in at least three different outfits meandering around LA with skeevy Adnan and (ahem) making her way through throngs of paparazzi like usual while her boys trucked along at Kevin's. Apparently Brit's got herself a boyfriend in LA and a realtor in Dallas these days, at least according to her shirt. How's that for publicity? What other Britney stories are we wading through today? Well, Sam is thankfully denying the suicide-note rumor while OK! is going with the cover story that she's trying to get pregnant again. That seems like a horrible idea, so hopefully this is another false baby for Britney, though she was seen shopping for pregnancy tests on Monday. Fingers crossed she's just trying to mess with the media - another baby is the last thing she needs.

Also probably not on the list of things she needs? Another one of her close friends talking to the press. But that didn't stop Alli Simms from sitting down with Us Weekly. Among other defending-Britney stuff, she talked about Brit's new man. She said, "I do not think Adnan is a good person. . . . I think he only has bad intentions. He has given me a weird feeling and creeped me out. I wish he would just go away." I'll second that.

Britney "Couldn't" Get Into Courthouse

Just a few hours after being too scared to go to court, stopping by church, and grabbing some tacos, Britney headed to Rite Aid. As if we would expect anything less from the mother who just found out she would have no visitation rights until the next hearing on Feb. 19. Her friend Sam told E! that Brit didn't enter the courthouse because the sea of paparazzi made it impossible for her to get in there safely. Seems like a pretty lame excuse, but we knew there would be one. Since Brit has to wait over a month to get even a chance to get visitation rights back, may we suggest a vacation from Hollywood? Perhaps without Adnan. I think everyone needs a Britney break, especially herself. So sad.

Britney's No Visitation Extended Through at Least Feb. 19

After a very brief stop at her custody hearing, Britney Spears spent her afternoon momentarily at church, eating Mexican food with Adnan and Sam and then returning home. She never even went inside the courthouse; instead her lawyers came out to consult with her in the car before she headed on her way. While we're not sure exactly what went down either in the hearing, between Brit and her legal team, or whether things would have changed even if she showed up on time, the results aren't good for the erstwhile pop tart. The Commissioner decided that her visitation will not be restored until at least the next hearing, which is scheduled for Feb. 19. Neither the decision nor Britney's behavior are much of a surprise, but I'm sure she'll have her excuses. She always does.

Britney Arrives At Court When She Feels Like It...And Leaves

Britney Spears arrived at her custody hearing in downtown Los Angeles just a few minutes ago. Stop me if you've heard this one before, she was very late. Her lawyers, Kevin's lawyers and Kevin have been there all morning hearing testimony, and we weren't sure if Brit was going to show at all. If she had been a no show entirely, there was pretty much no chance that she would be getting visitation rights back, but even as it is I can imagine it will be a tough sell. She showed up with her boyfriend Adnan, of course. We'll keep you updated...

Update: Britney stood around outside for a while and then apparently got back in the car and is already heading home. Not sure what exactly happened there, but it appears that she will not be in the courtroom today.

Britney's Wedding Dress Weekend Before Big Court Hearing

Britney Spears spent her weekend in lots of outfits and with boytoy Adnan Ghalib by her side 24 hours a day. On Saturday she took him car shopping shocking everyone by putting on the same little white lacy number she wore at her wedding reception with Kevin in 2004. Ugh, hopefully their next little jaunt out of LA isn't to Vegas, but it wouldn't be her first time. On Sunday it was more of the same - short shorts, belly shirt, gas station, you know the drill. At least he can help her navigate the paparazzi swarm...because...you know...he is one. Tomorrow morning she better be ready to clean it up a bit, because she has the first custody hearing since having her visitation taken away, and she has been warned that if she doesn't show she won't be seeing her boys. It's Britney, so who knows what she'll do, but she has ignored the sheriff's offer to help her get into court safely. Britney, uncooperative? Stay tuned.

Oh, and one last tidbit on Adnan, the stories persist that he is doing this all to make money off Brit and the newest is that he isn't separated from his wife after all. Bad news bears.

Britney's Back to Gas Station Nightlife

After her quick trip to Mexico, Britney was back in LA with Adnan Ghalib last night. She cuddled up with a pup (find out how to get London's cute sweater here), before pulling out the pink wig and trashy jacket to hit up the gas stations. Not exactly classy, but a bit of good news is that Britney hasn't been abusing her boys. Last week Jayden James was taken to the hospital along with his mom to get some bruises checked out, but it turns out that they were bites from Sean Preston. Sad and alarming to hear about the bruises, but thankfully everyone is healing right now.

Britney Flees to Mexico

Late last night we were hearing that Britney had boarded a private jet with her new paparazzo most-likely-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, and that the two were sneaking off to NYC. Turns out they pulled a fast one on us because Britney and Adnan resurfaced in Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Apparently they decided to drive rather than fly. Maybe she really was hoping to escape all the madness in LA and hide away, but since it's Brit, there is no way that could happen. Either way, we don't think this is the best game plan.
