Adrien Brody took a break from the glitz and glamour of the Cannes Film Festival to enjoy a little yacht time soaking up the sun yesterday. After climbing aboard, he ditched his hat and blazer to go shirtless on the deck, where he lounged with friends and some snacks. Adrien doesn't have any movies premiering at the festival this year, but he's been spotted out and about enjoying the many parties the festival has to offer.

Last night was a busy one for many celebrities at Cannes. Milla Jovovich was decked out to make the rounds, starting at the Chopard and L'Oréal bash at the Hotel Martinez. She mingled at L'Oréal with fellow brand ambassadors Luisana Lopilato and model Natasha Poly. We caught a moment with Milla at the soiree, and she spoke about what her favorite part of the festival has been. Milla said, "The last two years I brought my daughter, so it's all about getting my work done and getting back to bed to sleep with my little girl. She was all day at the beach - loves it, loves it. She met a little friend here. They're best friends now - in the whole world - after one day together." Milla and her husband Paul W. S. Anderson are the proud parents of 4-year-old Ever.

The next stop on the party agenda was de Grisogono's Glam Extravaganza at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in nearby Antibes. There, Milla caught up with celeb pals like Heidi Klum, Alec Baldwin and his fiancée Hilaria Thomas, Adrien Brody, and the Hilton sisters. Both Nicky and Paris are making the rounds this week. Nicky, though, has her new boyfriend in town, too - we spotted her out on a dinner date with new guy James Rothschild, an English banking heir. In Detachment, Adrien Brody stars as Henry Barthes, a substitute teacher who moves around a lot, never staying in a place long enough to develop any true connection or emotional attachment to the student body, the administration, or anyone, for that matter. At his newest school, Henry finds that the unmotivated students have completely burnt out the faculty. When Henry unexpectedly becomes a beacon of light to a few of the kids, he begins to come to grips with the world around him.

Even from the short trailer, you can tell that Brody is going to give one powerful performance. He's not the only one to look forward to; the film has a recognizable supporting cast with the likes of Marcia Gay Harden, Bryan Cranston, and Christina Hendricks. Sarah Jessica Parker seemed to take the snow theme to heart last night when she attended UNICEF's Snowflake ball in a pouffy Louis Vuitton number. She attended the gala at Cipriani 42nd Street with other stars like Zoe Kravitz, Uma Thurman, Adrien Brody, and Mark Ruffalo. Zoe made the rounds inside while decked out in a Chanel ensemble that had feathery details just like SJP's.

Sarah Jessica and her family are home in the Big Apple again after spending Thanksgiving with Matthew's sister in New Jersey. SJP and Matthew attended a mass at Morristown's St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where his sister is a pastor. Their son, James Wilkie, had a lesson on the organ, then over 20 members of their extended family sat down to enjoy a 27-pound turkey!

Clive has been laying low since wrapping Hemingway and Gellhorn with Nicole Kidman, but he's back and in top action hero form in the new The Killer Elite trailer alongside Jason Statham.

Rachel McAdams changed into a semi-sheer Marchesa gown for the premiere of her new Woody Allen movie during the Cannes Film Festival this evening. She and boyfriend Michael Sheen were also together this morning at the Midnight in Paris photocall, though they seemed to show even more PDA at tonight's event - Michael sweetly helped with her dress as she ascended the stairs, and they huddled close while posing alongside costars Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and the French actress Lea Seydoux. Rachel and Michael made the trip to France together in order to promote the comedy after a stay in LA doing press and hanging out with his 12-year-old daughter, Lily.

In recent years, Woody Allen's films have gotten to be a bit formulaic: he compiles an impeccable cast and drops them in an iconic city, then lets the characters' story lines intersect with each other. Sometimes the formula works (as in Vicky Cristina Barcelona), but other times we're not so lucky (as in You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger). After watching the trailer for his newest film, it's hard to predict where Midnight in Paris will fall on the spectrum.

The movie centers on Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams as an engaged couple visiting Paris. They start to grow apart when McAdams's character takes a liking to a stuffy American intellectual (Michael Sheen) that her fiancé doesn't quite approve of. Meanwhile, Wilson's character starts seeing his own side to the City of Love, but it's not clear what he's really doing on his late-night walks. There's no question that Wilson and McAdams have charm to spare, and Paris is the perfect backdrop for any film, but the trailer boasts only a few chuckles (and we barely glimpse the rest of the cast, which includes Marion Cotillard, Adrien Brody, and Kathy Bates). The good news is that we won't have to wait long to find out more about the movie, as it's set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Watch the preview for yourself when you

Hollywood's exciting run-up to the Oscars continued with a dinner thrown by Harvey Weinstein and Dior at Chateau Marmont in LA yesterday. The brand's newest model and Academy Award nominee, Natalie Portman, couldn't make it since she was busy traveling to the West Coast with her fiancé, Benjamin Millepied, but plenty of other stars came out to celebrate. It was Halle Berry's second glamorous event of the week after she donned a hot red dress for the Costume Designers Guild Awards, though this time she made it a date night with boyfriend Olivier Martinez by her side. Hostess-to-be Anne Hathaway took a break from her show preparations for the evening out amid rumors that she and James Franco will perform a song from Grease on the stage. Busy Philipps returned from the snowy East Coast to pose with pal Rosario Dawson, while actors Gerard Butler and Adrien Brody took a minute to chat. Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Meyer, and Michelle Trachtenberg were among the other guests to toast the upcoming Oscars, where we'll be broadcasting live from the red carpet and backstage.
